... a little too "girl-ish" for my taste but not bad at all. Voted good

The animation is good, just takes getting used to it I guess. And the svg was recognized now. It took some tries, no idea why.
- Feb 27 2009
I like it. A few things I have to complain about though...
1. Kinda odd animation style when you're used to use classic or woodtrim.
2. Might be Jaunty specific, but for me the folder was /usr/share/gnome-games/iagno/pixmaps
3. Eventually it'd be easier if you put the .svg into an archive (took me a few tries until I unterstood how to download it, but maybe I'm just too stupid :-D )
4. Might be Jaunty specific as well, but I had to change the .svg to .png because it wouldn't recognize the .svg
Sry for my poor english :-)
Aber ansonsten wirklich sehr erfrischend :-) - Feb 27 2009

Thanks mate! :-)

Hey! Cool theme! But the reason why I write is the wallpaper. Seen it on the ubuntu.com wiki and it looks great :-)
Where can I find it? Thanks :-) - Feb 13 2009

Kinda odd to download a wallpaper without knowing how it looks... :-)

How about a screenshot so we can take a look at it before we download. Please? :-D

Maybe it's because it's yet another Windows clone? I don't know. Agree with the commenters above, not exactly my taste but definitely not worse than 50%

Looks somehow silky and is very usable. Good job!

Looks a little unsharp on 1680x1050 though :-(

Like the colors and the lightning effects. Makes me feel calm and relaxed :-)

I love it :-)

Es solo un "workaround" para un bug. No le de caso. Va a funcionar sin problemas. Se puede corregir si se pone 'style "unstyle" engine= "pixmap"' o algo parecido. Pero puede causar instabilidad.

Thanks a lot! It's not that I don't like the text or something, I just like y wallies as minimalistic and with less distraction as possible. And now I can use it with the alldaylong script :-)
Thanks for reworking it, I really appreciate it. - Feb 04 2009

Looks like you already fixed the issue you had... Good choice with the theme. Easy entry to the theming world.
Good luck further on :-) - Feb 03 2009

Yeah^^ I was guessing that it's gtk :-P
But is it Murrine, Pixbuf, Nodoka, Clearlooks...? What theme is the gtkrc based on (just if you're not sure what engine it is)?
RS is Rapidshare. It gave me an error message... Something like "No free slot available, please try again later"... Happens all the time lately.
BTW: Practice makes perfect. I don't think any of the themers here started with a completely self written and perfect gtkrc/theme :-) - Feb 03 2009

Oh... And maybe you should upload it somewhere esle... RS is f**king up lately.
- Feb 03 2009
Yea... I also sometimes get bad ratings without any reason given... It's annoying as f**k.
What engine did you use for this theme btw? - Feb 03 2009

Well... The Theme itself looks OK... But I think the colors are the wrong choice. Blue and red don't really often look too good in conjuction. Also the presentation could be nicer (fitting icons, better fitting font(and font color) in the screenshots, etc.. It looks a little like you've thrown all together and hoped that it would be a nice theme. Sry man. Just a few word to let you understand why it's so bad rated.
Please don't be mad at me.
And sry for my poor english

Yes I have, but it still is GNU/Linux, not Windows, I just find it kinda odd to see a Windows logo when I'm obviously using GNU/Linux, that's all. The idea of letting it look familiar is good after all.
- Jan 22 2009
Why not any other logo? Why does it have to be a Winblows logo? I mean the idea is cool, but people aren't using Winblows, so why a Winblows logo? I'd love to see a Ubuntu/Suse/Arch/whatever logo instead of the Windows flag in that aqua bubble :-P

Nice to see other people taking the own ideas and improving them. Exactly what I had in mind when I made Dark Elegance.
Also nice to see that the user list doesn't look too horrible on 4:3 screens :-)

I'm not a big fan of dark themes, but this one looks pretty nice.
- Jan 16 2009
Check out Dark Elegance. ;-)
- Jan 16 2009
I really like the experimental version! I have one question though: Does the user list stay in the right place regardless of what display resolution is being used (16:9, 16:10 4:3 etc.)? And if yes, what kind of anchor or other setting did you use to manage that? Can't check it myself right now since I'm using another OS...

I've reuploaded the 1.0 version here: http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=A1L9ZQUT
it doesn't have the install script yet so you'll have to change the directories in the .xml manually - Jan 13 2009

Nevermind, tried it myself and it wouldn't work for me either.
BTW: Are there more wallpapers available for this/this kind script? Something like a spinning globe or something like this: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/showsunmap.php?iso=20130414T212400 would be awesome, too. - Jan 13 2009

wouldn't it be easier to change the current paths to something like "~/Pictures/*.png" so the user could just put it in that directory and it would work?
- Jan 13 2009
Damn! This is so AWESOME! Thank you so much!

looks pretty nice! It's a little too glossy to me, but I like it!

If you install xnest (assuming you're on Ubuntu it's apt-get install xnest) You could make a screenshot using "gdmflexiserver --xnest"
