Must rename ebuild to "kwin-decor-suse2-0.2.ebuild"

Then put in "/usr/local/portage/x11-themes/kwin-decor-suse2/"

Then "ebuild /usr/local/portage/x11-themes/kwin-decor-suse2/kwin-decor-suse2-0.2.ebuild digest"

Then "emerge kwin-decor-suse2.0.2" - Jun 10 2005
I'll take a look at it when I get home tonight. You probably just have to put it in your PORTAGE_OVERLAY directory and digest it. i.e. - /usr/local/portage/x11-themes/ and do a digest of the ebuild once it's in the proper place. - Jun 08 2005

This is a good idea and all, but is there another way to display that information, other than through konsole. Can a kdialog pop up, or that window that shows the output from an "Execute Shell Command" in konq filebrowser mode. Just curious, to see if there's a way to just have the output spit out on a qt/kde window, and then just have a button to close it. - May 07 2005

Codeine works fine when its already opened, but if you launch it with a filename as an argument, it crashes.

codeine: xine_new()
codeine: xine_config_load()
codeine: xine_init()
codeine: xine_open_video_driver()
codeine: xine_open_audio_driver()
codeine: xine_stream_new()
codeine: xine_osd_new()
codeine: scope_plugin_new()
codeine: xine_event_create_listener_thread()
ASSERT: "action" in mainWindow.cpp (589)
KCrash: Application 'codeine' crashing...

Doing that from the command line gives me that, and then the KDE crash window pops up letting me know it crashed. Like I said, only when giving an argument or clicking on a video file from kde does it do this. Version 1.0_beta4 - Apr 26 2005
Is there a way to submit bugs/features? I'd like to see you be able to edit your xine preferences from codeine. I.E - change default values like sound system (arts, alsa, etc..), video settings, and many of the xine options that are configurable. I think that this would be a great feature in codeine. Great work too, its nice to have a simple video player with a simple interface. Keep it up. - Apr 14 2005

The great thing about the neuros, is that the ndbm and the firmware are open-sourced. You should have a great deal of documentation to look at, so this project is quite reasonable. Good luck and I can't wait to see what happens. - Mar 08 2005

I was so happy when I discovered kaffeine sometime last year. Finally I had a media player for linux that I liked. It worked with KDE, played movies as well as xine, and had a simple as well as effective interface. I hate being this critical, but this new interface is terrible. Its confusing and messy. I guess I'll be sticking with kaffeine-4.3b untill something else comes along. Thanks for your work though, I hope in future versions the interface can be customizable. - Oct 07 2004

I am really not that much of a fan of a system tray for superkaramba. There's just some apps that I don't like in my system tray, and karamba is one of them. You should use an option for the next version to disable system try integration. Amarok and Kaffeine both have the option to disable their system tray, so check those out for code examples. - Jul 13 2004

Awesome, your theme installs now. One problem I noticed though, is that it will now override your old system notifications, not just the sounds. It doesn't bother me at all, but if you download this theme, please be aware of it. Great work though, you just need some sounds now for kopete/chatting programs and k3b :) - May 13 2004
doh! forgot to say... file a bug report for sound theming at It may make it into the next released version. - May 13 2004

I too wish there was some sort of sound theme file for distributing. You have so many sounds, I can't wait to try this theme. Maybe you could just copy a keventsrc in your config directory to distribute, as long as your sounds are in ~/.kde/share/sounds/Borealis

Maybe something like that would work.

This is great. KDE should have this in by default IMHO. But, you should have your script check where the Desktop Directory is. Mine is ~/.Desktop, so its hidden. This can be changed in the KDE settings, so you should have your script check the location, and change the "mountiso" script accordingly. Keep up the great work though. - Mar 29 2004
