Well, hi there.
I'm one of the original authors of this MountISO project. I am HIGHLY surprised that no one even contacted me or Oleg Kourapov (aka 2sheds) about this situation.
Of course, MountISO was licensed under GPL but I don't think that was a good idea to remove my administrator rights for this project. GPL does mean you can use my code but it does not mean you can take my project without asking me.
I'm glad someone decided to continue my project but I think you should have contacted me before.
So would highly appreciate that you return my administrator rights and contact me jinjiru at gmail dot com
Thank you. - Jan 03 2008
Please, answer some questions so we could find out what the problem is.

1)Did you install Mount-ISO as root or as a normal (limited) user?
2)What distro are you using? Is it SUSE (we know there are some problems with some versions of SUSE)?
3)start "konsole" and type the following command:

kde-config --userpath desktop

What's the output of this command? - Jun 06 2004
Could you please check if there is the file ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/mountiso.desktop (or, if you installed systemwide, look in global kde folder)? If it exists, could you please send it to me by email linux@jinjiru.ru? I'll try to find out what the problem is :) - May 30 2004
Thank you for your suggestion, we're working on it :) - May 13 2004
To be honest I don't like to compare Mount ISO with windows apps - just because we're using linux, not Windows. And I don't want to combine with Kiso - these are two different strategies. - Apr 25 2004
Thank you for your nice words :)) - Apr 25 2004
Actually, guys, I don't understand your desire to combine Mount ISO and Kiso. These are two different strategies. I don't like to open a whole application to simply mount iso image - i prefer just clicking on it and choose action. I don't like wasting my time when i can make just two clicks. There's no use for me to open Kiso when i just want to create iso image from folder or when i want to work with it as with a simple folder. That is why I will not combine my project with Kiso - just because i can't see any use of this combination. - Apr 25 2004

Well, I'm one of the authors of Mount ISO script - and when I started it, it was just a little servicemenu - and I made an installer which could find out all the paths and directories to install into. Maybe I (and 2sheds, a friend of mine who is the second author and the main developer of my project) could help you to provide a small installer? ;))

In order to prevent desktop file from missing info you better archive it (f.e. create tar.bz2 archive) :)

Thanks once again for your useful servicemenu! :) - May 29 2004
Thank you, I was looking for this feature for a long time!!

Maybe you should create a desktop file instead of giving us txt, just rename and archive :) And maybe somekind of installer will be useful :)

Anyway, that's a good job, thank you! - May 28 2004
