Thanks, I just uploaded fixed script. - Feb 09 2010
This is Amarok 2.x script. So if amarok 2.x can run on KDE 3.5.10, this will work too. If not, you are out of luck.

Still, this is just list of streams and you do not really need this script to listen to them in your favourite media player. - Dec 21 2009

Just decrease font size for current temperature:

--- yawp.cpp 2009-01-14 22:06:12.000000000 -0400
+++ yawp.cpp~ 2008-12-14 08:23:14.000000000 -0400
@@ -207,7 +207,7 @@
day = &(;

//Draw current degrees
- font.setPixelSize(44.0f * scale);
+ font.setPixelSize(50.0f * scale);

This is using google weather thingy, so try google search for: weather city name country name (i.e.: weather Charlottetown Canada). If your city is not covered, there might be nearby city that is.

- Jan 15 2009
Font for current temperature is a bit too big for us living in Cold North. Minus gets lost behind weather icon for double digit negative temperatures. Right now it shows 11C and if I would not see snow storm through the window I might go out in a T-shirt. - Dec 23 2008

It seems that there is something else wrong with Now it does not seem to return proper album and artist tags any more. Other at #amarok seem to have similar problems.

- Jun 17 2007
The image is there. I need to run out now but I will try recompiling with your fix later this evening and will report results here.

Thank you
- Jun 17 2007
Just to make myself clear. Cover art does work. It only does not work for tracks from

I did restart kicker and no change. - Jun 17 2007
Great app - thank you.

One thing that I see missing is display of cover images for the tracks.

I second that. There is nothing illegal about this script if you use it in Canada. Unless you are in USA, DMCA and related regulations are irrelevant. - Mar 02 2007

Well it did work for me until this i updated qtcurve to this version

Even "Darken" setting works, but setting up explicit color does not. - Nov 02 2006
Thank you for great work.

One new thing i noticed it that in firefox 2 menubar color is not changed any more regardless of the color setting in the style properties. Other menubar properties do apply but the color does not.

Yeah that is how far it goes. I think it needs gcc4 but I might be wrong - Jul 20 2006
I replaced this on line 17 in

EXTRAFLAGS="-floop-optimize2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fgcse-sm -fgcse-las"

with this:
EXTRAFLAGS="-fomit-frame-pointer -fgcse-sm"

then run:
make distclean
./configure --prefix=/usr

and it started building. It still failed at one point later on.

It seems like it needs some specific gcc version to build. Mine is gcc 3,3.2 - Jul 20 2006

// p->setPen(cg.buttonText() );
fixed the menu bar text color problem

I have no idea how to go about transparency and menu stripe though. - Feb 09 2006
Very nice update.

Just to note couple "problems".

- Menu stripe does not work when trnsparent menus are enabled.

- Toolbar buttons are not using normal window text color. This is good when they are active, but problem when they are not. See screenshot here:

Thanks again for very nice style. - Feb 09 2006
Yaeh, the stripe seems to be gone here too. Non-related but I find menu items over-spaced now. - Dec 08 2005

If it cannot be always 100% smooth, maybe it would be good idea for it to always be 5 or so more pixels to the right. That way it would look/feel as intentional Btw, thank you for the great style. - Dec 05 2005
On screenshot 2 (and on my screen) you will see that leftmost tab (style) is moved couple pixels to the right. Is this considered a bug or is is desired behaviour. - Dec 05 2005
Kicker background works again. Thank you. You are doing some great work with this style. - Jan 24 2005
I just did that and the problem is still there in comix 1.2.1. Switching to comix 1.16 fixes the problem. After loging back in With comix 1.2.1 I cannot set background image or trnsparency to kicker. I created new user and went through all steps and result is the same. - Jan 21 2005
Funny, after I loged out/in I lost kicker backgound image. I reinstalled comix 1.16 (could not find 1.17 anywhere) and that fixed it. I got some warrnings in .xsession-errors from libpng, that I did not see before and after reinstalling old comix they are gone. If your desktop background is PNG image, this might be related. - Jan 21 2005
Comix style rocks, and is by far my favorite style. It looks great with crystal deco. Comix window decoarations I find so-so. I think it would be good idea to separate this in 2 downloadable packages. Even more so considering that comix kwin client requires KDE > 3.3 - Jan 20 2005
You can build it using newer kdecoration.h - Jan 20 2005

Have you followed the link I put in the theme description you would see entire comment that I reponded to. I did not want to post all of it as simply I see how someone can find it offensive but for your convinience I am pasting it here:

"Jesus Christ lives and He's the one God and Satan is a loser under our feet!

Make this button with penguin, not this Nova Era symbol! It'll be nice!

Jesus loves you!!!"

Well, Jesus might love me, but this button is not for him. It is here to remind you that you can make the button with cross, star and half moon or whatever you wish and there is no need to insult some other symbols/religions in the process, like the original poster did with Thaoism and Satanisam.

So, to sum it up, if you do not like it, do not use it and make yourself some nice holy button. - Aug 06 2005

"It makes no sense to have hundreds of people trying to resolve your problems."

That is whole purpose of open source. One comes out with an idea and then through community effort that idea is developed into something.

Rather them complaining maybe you could consider contributing your time and money. That would give you click and run app you are looking for.

Btw, if you did read other users' comments on this site, you would know how to solve that compilation error you are having. - Apr 05 2005
I did make clean, after I saw that error first time, and that made no difference, but I do not think that is your problem. I just checked and I get the very same thing when running 0.5.2 version, but I can add that one to the kicker and use with no problems.

I am not sure if this is at all related but I get this notice when starting eather version:
library not found under 'module' but under 'lib' - Apr 04 2005
Compile worked fine after adding
#include in kpager.cpp , but applet cannot be loaded into kicker.

I can start it with
appletproxy kpager2.desktop
and switching desktops wokrs, but middle clicking or right clicking on it makes it exit with this errror:

appletproxy: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/ undefined symbol: _ZN14KURIFilterData4initERK7QString
