Just wanted to say thanks. I've been using CWP for years, and I find myself missing its constant presence. Seems these desktop plasmoids just aren't in style now - even my standby YAWP isn't available for kde5.
Anyway, that's neither here, nor there, I wanted to say thank you for creating and maintaining such a really nice weather display for my desktop, for such a long time.
I'm off to struggle with conky now... - Mar 26 2017
Ah...sounds like appropriate work for being snowed-in and unable to get out! Well, it's a good technique, and I'll remember it - and who knows, maybe I'll bite the bullet and actually try it with my favorite set out of the bunch - if it's not as bad as it sounds I may even do them all...

I'll definitely look for that yawp set. Thanks for the tips! - Dec 28 2011
"Scale Font" under Layout 1 doesn't work? You could always try changing the font... - Dec 16 2011
(Just so ya' know...liquid weather is no longer updated, and the icon sets are available for anyone who wants to use them.) - Dec 15 2011

Thanks for a great weather app!

I was wondering...I got a bunch of liquid weather icon sets in png format, and I wanted to use them in cwp, but found I could not. Is there any way other than conversion that I can use them? - Dec 15 2011
You can adjust most of the text attributes yourself in the kde control panel, but you'll have to experiment a bit to figure out which settings apply to what text. I think you'll find it either under the desktop or appearance settings.

Oh, also...

I don't know if this matters to you (or anyone else, for that matter), but in your dependency request for ubuntu (kubuntu) above:

sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake kdelibs5-dev kdebase-workspace-dev libxrender-dev libx11-dev git

Git was not available in apt. I had to go into synaptic and search, where I found kgit, instead. - Dec 18 2011
Thanks, man! Worked great!

VERY nice... - Dec 18 2011

I ran the script and everything went well until this. It seems like a simple configuration error, but I don't know what to do...Help?

I'm running kubuntu lucid with kde 4.5.3 backport. - Dec 18 2011
