I can't open 3GP Movie Wizard using "3gpwiz" as the "read me" instructs from a Terminal, Though it is possible to open the program by right mouse clicking a video file and selecting "Open with 3GP Movie Wizard". - Nov 23 2006
Has anyone got this application to run successfully on Gnome? I had no issues installing it will all required dependencies on SLED 10 with Gnome as my desktop. Though when I click on the shortcut for 3gp Movie Wizard the application won't load. While I can still use Lin3gp as an alternative I would prefer to use 3gp Movie Wizard which is more user friendly. - Nov 19 2006
Thanks for the quick reply. Reason for asking is I want to test this software with compressing DVD movies in a 2 GB SD memory card on a Treo 650.

Will you be releasing the source code soon so a binary package can be made for package managers such as YAST? - Apr 05 2006
How much compression does "3gp movie wizard" provide? Reason for asking is I'm looking for an alternative to compression software such as "Pocket DVD Studio" and "Palm Media Studio" which use video players such as Core Media Player to play encrypted DVD movies on Palm Treo and other smartphones. - Apr 04 2006

Due to lacking a help tutorial with the software I'm wondering what other users have set for the "Configure archive limits" in the "Options" section of KlamAV? By default everything is set to "0" but I tend to get false readings during scans. Any recommended settings to use? - May 14 2006
Whether you use a YAST Source Mirror, Red Carpet, APT or just manually download your packages you can find a packaged KlamAV RPM here Instructions for installing from YAST Source Mirrors, APT and Red Carpet are provided on Pascal's site.

Cheers :) - Dec 13 2005
I'm having a few issues with scanning and updating on Novell's SuSE Linux Professional 9.1 while using KlamAV's default user settings. When attempting to run a scan from KlamAV I get the following error:

"ERROR: /usr/local/share/clamav: Not supported database file type."

Under the "Update" tab I have the following default directory as "/usr/local/share/clamav" which doesn't appear to exist. I tried changing the update directory to "/var/lib/clamav" where the files "", "daily.cvd", "" and "main.cvd" are located but still unable to update. Is KlamAV looking for the actual executable ClamAV file or something else?

I have no issue updating or scanning from the terminal using ClamAV commands. I would like to be able to have the GUI frontend KlamAV working if possible. - Jan 11 2005

I always thought of the Linux community as working together sharing ideas and code. Not intended to crush your efforts but wouldn't it be better to use your coding skills to help the project Blender? I'm a 3D artist who primarily uses Maya for my work. What I have noticed when comparing open source applications it's apparent Blender is the closest open source 3D modeling/animation project that has a chance of competing with commercial applications such as Maya and XSI. So it would be better for the community over all to combine coders skills on further developing such open source projects that are in a sense light years ahead of others. My comments are not intended to be offensive just that as a working professional I see the need for studios to lower costs which is why projects like Blender, Jahshaka and Cinelerra seem attractive. What is really needed is an open source application that is similar to the toolset offered in ZBrush due to Pixologic refusal to port it to Linux. Possibly you can offer this in your current modeling software which would benefit both those considering modeling/paint but also to help studios lower cost. - Dec 18 2005

Forgot to add that in regards to user configuration is not only to exclude things not needed but to add things that may be needed. Such as having a display of when renders will be completed by software such as Mental Ray, Renderman, etc. This would be useful for game design, animation and visual effects studios. Also having a display of the number of processors currently being used in a LAN for the batch render would be useful. - Jul 23 2005
Looks very cool and useful. How demanding is this application in regards to memory (RAM) used and CPU? Can end user configure the app to exclude things may not be needed such as the weather, etc? - Jul 23 2005

Edit: I meant version 1.3 of Amarok, not 1.0.3. - Jun 10 2005
Recently updated to KDE 3.4.1 and everything appeared fine then installed the latest version of Amarok v1.0.3. Now when using the arts engine Amarok locks up. This only happens when I click the play button to play streaming radio. Is there any way to verify what the error is in a crash log? - Jun 10 2005

Issue resolved. What I had to add in "Tools/Configure Konqueror/Plugins" was the link "/opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins". Just selecting "scan for new plugins" in Konqueror does not allow the browser to link to the "" file. - May 28 2005
Is there anyway to get this plug-in to work with Konqueror? I currently use Firefox but if Konqueror is used then the only option is to use an MPlayer frontend like KMPlayer or KPlayer. - May 28 2005

Novell now makes this available through YaST Online Update as an optional download titled "Multimedia Option" (There's 4 available for various media library files and software). Congratulations to the developer on this software.

Actually I'm using SuSE Linux Pro 9.2 which even after updating to KDE 3.4 excludes the new SuSE theme. If possible post this packaged RPM so users of older versions of SuSE Linux can also enjoy the new theme.

Thanks :) - May 04 2005
