Nice work here, no doubt. Everaldo shows some great talent in these icons.

Some of the icons I really like, but others I really dislike. I don't like the "home" icon, for example. It's 'too much' if that makes sense.

So although it is a very nice theme, I'm sticking with Nuvola. - Aug 08 2007

I got this win deco to compile under openSUSE 10.2 x86_64 with the following commands:

./configure --prefix='/opt/kde3' --libdir='/opt/kde3/lib64' --with-qt-libraries='/usr/lib/qt3/lib64'

sudo make install

Hope this helps someone. - Aug 08 2007
I'd love to use this theme, but configure insists it cannot find "qt-mt". I get this a lot on many of the themes on this site.

distro: openSUSE 10.2

Your previews look good, but...

All of these icons are blurry (16, 24, 32). I had to switch back to Nuvola.

Maybe this is just me (which is very likely), but I get errors running configure.

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

I am running x86_64 version of opensuse 10.2. How do you get around this type of thing? - Feb 20 2007

I'm glad they stuck with the "classic" layout for this recent release. The "new" layout is not as near as desirable as the old layout.

If the "new" release becomes hard coded and there is no option to revert layout to the "classic" layout, I will (sadly) have to switch to a different player (juK comes to mind). I sure hope I don't have to...

amaroK is a great, great player (superb, fabulous), and I like it because of its flexible layout, not because of all the "features" for and the like. If you want to add additional options, that is fine, but its like they say, "don't fix it if it isn't broke" and this applies here! - Jul 06 2006

Stability has been great for me with KDE and Quanta. Quanta is a great editor that I use daily with my web development (particularly with PHP/HTML).

I have been using SUSE Linux since SUSE version 9.1, and the included Quanta has never given me trouble. - Jun 25 2006

I'm still getting hung up on the automake version problem (make -f Makefile.cvs). Yast2 claims I have 1.9, and the script insists I have 1.5, and tells me I need version 1.6.

It looks cool, I'd love to try it. I'm running SUSE 10.0, with KDE 3.5.1. - Apr 16 2006

I just downloaded Kommando and won't compile. I get this error:

"/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.0.2/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lacl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status"

I have tried './configure' and './configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` and both end the same.

I'm running SuSE 10 and KDE 3.5. - Jan 22 2006

Are you referring to posix support?

I thought that the FS supported extended meta-data, and that some programs added meta-data, which they interpret as acls. I know samba can be configured to do that.

Of course, I am by no means an expert on the issue. That is just the impression I was under. If I added acl's through samba, and then did a 'ls -l' from the cmd line, I didn't see the additional acls. - Nov 21 2005
Which filesystem is this feature made for?

Ext2/3 and Reiser don't support multiple ACLs per each file, as far as I know.

Cool concept... - Sep 05 2005

The rpms I used to upgrade KDE to 3.4 were provided by Novell, not from a 3rd party. They were a supplementary addon made for 9.2 users.

Great app nonetheless; however, whether its my machine or the software aside, it definitely isn't stable on my machine. - Jun 17 2005
I'm new to compiling, so I haven't even considered reporting bugs through such means, but I'll have to do that. Thanks. - Jun 01 2005
I love the features in 0.6, but it still isn't stable for me. Often, the program crashes and the KDE crash handler appears.

I'm running SuSE 9.2 using KDE 3.4 (Official Novell supplementary rpms).

The program compiled without problems. - May 28 2005
Of many graphical ftp clients I've tried on linux, KFTPGrabber is a good balance between control and simplicity.

Unfortunately, it is very unstable on my system (Fedora Core 3). I installed it via rpm, and found it buggy, so I uninstalled the rpm and installed it from source. It was significantly more stable, but still unusable.

I've had the program crash when I initiate queued transfers, and I've also had it claim it completed several 10 MB downloads in a matter of milliseconds... and won't actually transfer any files.

I've also had problems with bookmarks. I select a site from the bookmarks, and it opens a new local browser tab instead of opening a ftp connection. Often trying to do a quick connect makes the app crash.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do to improve the stability of this app? - Jan 30 2005

Great app... but I'm having a bit of trouble. Maybe its me, I dunno.

It compiled okay (KDE 3.3.0), but the configure dialog doesn't display properly. The bottom half of the dialog doesn't always draw properly.

The other catch is icons. Knotes displays fine. The others are blank (kmix, kopete, amarok, etc). - Mar 25 2005

Very nice concept...

However, is there a way to run this thing from somewhere other than the desktop? I have a link on my panel, but every time I run it, it simply generates a link on my desktop.

My desktop already has enough icons on it, and I would prefer not to have NextBoot there too.

Is there a way around this? - Mar 06 2005

Okay... was able to verify that they (AKDC Royale and AKDC nVidia) work fine, assuming I don't change any of the AKDC specific settings. - Jan 24 2005
Royale compiles and installs, but doesn't operate properly. When I select AKDC Royale, kcontrol instantly terminates.

AKDC-Nvidia installs and runs fine, as long as I don't change any nvidia-specific settings.
