I like this theme, and am sick of the blue and black themes everyone is pushing. Here we are at KDE 4.6 and this theme seems to be dead. Worse, most are re-processed and modified clones of themes I don't like. I'm tired of themes that force colors I don't want. It looks like I'll have to hack into this since it's been abandoned by it's creator. - Feb 18 2011

I have no intention of adding extra colour options - I dont even use the ones that are there. There should be enough options in the KDE4 colour schemes.

Finally, an answer to the matter of color options. It's obvious that you, as is the case with many others, feel that since you don't use something no one else does. The lack of a menu stripe color option is disappointing but it's obvious now it won't happen. Time to find a style that gives me the options I want. I'll say goodbye to qtcurve now. - May 09 2009
It would be nice to have the option of selecting a custom menu stripe color or a color from a user created color scheme.

Yes, a quick launcher is included in KDE 4.2 but unfortunately it is much less functional than one would hope. With KDE 4.2.2 there is no control over icon size and it's missing the ability to add apps from launcher menu via the context menu. - Apr 21 2009

Nice idea but your help file is seriously lacking in detail necessary for anyone with little networking experience to actually use it.

I couldn't get it to do anything with Democracy TV links. Hit the subscribe buttons and... nothing. - May 03 2006

On my SuSE 10 with KDE 3.5.1 the default ./configure didn't work out. It installed to /usr/local

Thanks to the install instructions at
http://www.coffeecrew.org/projects/qtfprot/INSTALL
I had a starting point.

I had to use:

./configure --with-qt-includes=/usr/include/qt3/ --with-kde-dir=/usr/include/kde/ --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt3 --prefix=/usr - Feb 17 2006

Thanks for the tip. For some reason though active it wasn't showing up in my user systray (possibly due to location of /home on a saparate raid array?). I hit the defaults button and apply and there it is. - Feb 04 2006

After searching via aMule (eMule for linux) and google YOUR website is the only available download point of the source code. Since you REQUIRE a donation to get the source code so, as far as I'm concerned, you're SELLING it. - Feb 01 2006
OK, then you go and BUY the source code for this FREE program and see what happens if you try to redistribute it. - Jan 31 2006
From the program's homepage:

For the new version AutoQ3D v1.50, give a donation to [edit] Link removed [/edit] and send a email to [edit] email address removed [/edit] for the Source Code or WinSetup of the program, and I will send you by email.

AutoQ3D-v1.50source.tar.gz--size 140.5KB

AutoQ3D-v1.50WinSetup--size 2.3MB - Jan 26 2006
The last free version of this app was 1.20
The current release v1.50 is NOT free.
The author has decided to REQUIRE a donation to download. As I see it, REQUIRING a donation is the same as SELLING a program. Since the individual has decided to SELL this program it has no place on kde-apps or sourceforge. - Jan 26 2006

I see the changes and think it's much improved. Thank you. The only additional thing I can see that would be an improvment would be some sort of selector buttons for the view mode. - Oct 05 2005
The insall text file wasn't installed using the rpm for suse 9.3 so I had to download the source tarball for the instructions on how to get it running. The dependency web is a nightmare. Once it's running it's a nice app overall. The only significant features I think it lacks is the ability do display airtimes when selecting favorite shows and the ability to search for airtimes of special shows (text input based search) for situations such as knowing a movie is on this week but you're not sure what day or time. A help button or link with entries to access a help file and version info would be nice too. - Sep 25 2005

I had the same thing happen.
I did an apt upgrade of gtk2 items to v2.8
Black menus on gtk apps (gimp, synaptic, network tools, etc.).
Fixed by downgrade of gtk2 items with v2.8 installed to v2.6 (and downgrading all items with dependencies). - Oct 03 2005

I may be wrong but I don't think so. As I work on it I find more glaring items that need to be corrected to look right. Part of the idea is to change settings that the theme manager doesn't touch (like the calculator colors, YaST images, etc.). - Sep 20 2005

I like the icons but it would be nice if the theme would allow the use of the KDE color scheme like the default firefox theme does. - Sep 09 2005

Thanks for the handy app.

There's a helpful article at

http://www.orangecrate.com/article.php?sid=962

and though the article was written for SUSE 9.2 it works on 9.3 as well. There were a number of undefined character messages generated (which I assumed was due to my use of kdelibs 3.0.4-20.7, python 2.4-14, or some other package more recent than those used in the app's creation) but the final product works fine. - Aug 25 2005
