I can not give my opinion on this icon theme because at least 90% of the icons are damaged and won't show. I just downloaded them with firefox and upacked the archive with ark. Nothing strange. If you would have the icon theme on github or so, I could get them from there... But it looks nice. - Nov 07 2022

And for (Plasma) Discover I used the same icon as your original one only then the one that also has an arrow in it. Because Discover also manages updates. But I would like to make a suggestion:
the "real" Windows 11 menu appears and goes away with a sliding animation. Very much like the current version of the plasma kickoff menu does... https://userbase.kde.org/Plasma/Kickoff . Perhaps you could look in the code of the kickoff menu for some inspiration.

I applied both the Breeze desktop theme and the Breeze icon theme but it makes no difference. As far as "the gap" concerns, I do not worry too much. It's beautiful anyway. But I would find it somewhat more practical if the recently used files showed thumbnails when they are images. My distribution is Neon user edition. I made a screenshot but I don't know how to send it to you. But when you look closely to the screenshots on top of this page you can also see that de recently viewed "screenshots" are not represented by thumbnails there too. - Jul 06 2021

- On my system the gap between the panel and the onze menu is somewhat wider than on the screenshot on this page, can I do something about that? and
- The icons below that point to images (jpg, png) don't give any "thunbs" on my system, what can I do about that.

I'm sorry, after copying the theme in the right folder I picked this out of your install script:
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/share/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /usr/share/plymouth/themes/UBUNTU-7.04-BOOT-SPLASH-PORT_1.0.0_PLYMOUTH-THEME/UBUNTU-7.04-BOOT-SPLASH-PORT_1.0.0_PLYMOUTH-THEME.plymouth 600 && sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth && sudo update-initramfs -u
and applied in a terminal.

Doesn't work so well on my Neon KDE-box (internel Ubuntu). I can try to install using the 1) GUI , systemsettings, but then your nostalgic beauty can only be seen at closing the system 2) your install script, gives the same result and 3) sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth in terminal to get a list of installable themes but yours isn't in the list...

I am a longtime user of the Freeze Aurorae theme. Great work! However I made some changes in the freezerc file:
BorderBottom=6 becomes 1
BorderLeft=6 becomes 1
BorderRight=6 becomes 1
Now you can realy have NO border if you want to and let kwin make the border wider in the settings...
ButtonMarginTop=0 becomes 3
Looks nicer!
I hope you appreciate this constructive criticism of a big fan!

This widget is great! But I can't get the window control buttons to appear in the top bar when the window is maximized. I am using Neon. I tried in a latte panel and in a plasma panel. No luck. Thank you for you answer but with "window controls" I mean (in you case) the red-green-yellow buttons. When you maximize a window the window border (on top op the application window) goes away and the red-green-yellow button move to the top bar. The Global Menu widget won't do that for me I think.
