That is, the installation and Assembly of initrd: #/usr/bin/plymouth-set-default-theme kde-plymouth --rebuild-initrd. I have everything gathered without errors but is not working probably due to preset the default (and unchangeable) initrd which is assembled when installing the drivers NVIDIA. It is ubuntu based system . This system have other directory postion . I tested it in ubuntu and i had to do some changes in this theme . But still not working . Sorry i can't help you . I am not ubuntu user ...
This install steps are for distributions like Fedora, Mandriva, Mageia etc... In this distributions it is very easy to change plymouth theme.

Linux Mint 17.2 “Rafaela”
