Description: This is my final new essence splash. You can use it with NewEssenceFinal Kdm at: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/NewEssenceFinal?content=117307
and NewEssenceFinal Wallpaper at: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=117373
I followed the link to the wallpaper and it's a BIN. Um, WTF do I do with a wallpaper BIN file? I've been trying to figure that out for the last half our and I'm about to pull my hair out. This is why I hate Linux. It's too damned complicated and Windows is so much simpler. I'm technically savvy and I have a difficult time with the OS. The average person will never be able to make use of it. To many config files, bugs, and CLI usage. Anyway, why is a wallpaper packaged as a BIN file? I was expecting a PNG, or BMP, or JPG or something.
Just though you might like to know, hosting on a site with all the redirects and javascript breaks any chance of installing via System Settings > Splash Screen.
I'm thinking that the file name (no extension) may also be an issue but I can't validate that.
Not a big deal but until I got bored and decided to figure out why it happened with some splash screens and not others I was just ignoring those splash screens that would not install. It's just a shame since it's a very nice splash screen and kdm theme combo!
Tommaso - great work. Can you please use somewhere else for the upload (not Rapidshare) - I'd like to use it but I can't download it. Also - please upload the wallpaper you're using. Preferably largish res (mine is 1680x1050 - but larger is OK.)
Thanks
new filehosting.
I'll put wallpaper that i created.
now you can use another version at:

9 Doesn't work for KDE5 Plasma -__-*
It reminds me of eastern spiritual stuff. This one looks cool too.
