There has been a major setback in the creation of this theme. I can only offer my sincerest apologies and the promise that I am not giving up. I appreciate your support and patience.

I was checking up on the status of this and read your blog post. Terrible to hear that you had lost all that work.It reminds me of that expression , "there are two types of people in this world: Those who make back-up's and those who wish that they had"

(I once *nearly* lost an entire album master recording and now am part of the former group)

Anyway , can wait for the theme and glad to hear that you are still sticking with it

There are still tons of apps and mimetypes I haven't touched, amongst other things. I realize I will have to edit and add things after release, but I'd like to have as much as I can done beforehand.

I'd rather it looked more like the faenza icon, take the colors and swirl of the default chrome icon and translate them to a square shape. Don't just put the chrome icon into a white square.

While I do appreciate your criticism and suggestion, I don't think the faenza-esque icon quite fits what I'm going for with this theme. Having said that, I have tinkered around and created said icon variant, and am considering including it as an alternative that can be swapped in. Cheers!

I do appreciate your style and the alternative icons looks great as well. I still think the chrome icon looks a little out of place. Maybe tone down the yellow section a little? It's kind of hard to see.
