You can force KDE to use the style in GTK apps by selecting the 'QTCurve' at Use Style combobox in Configure Desktop -> Common Appearance -> Application Appearance -> GTK Styles.

It's also better to disable the opacity for GTK apps in QTCurve configuration (Configure -> Applications), as the opacity isn't supported by gtk window client area anyway.

With all this done, the likes of CHrome and Gimp look fine to me, with correct colors and background texture, although of course not as good as native QT apps.

Hi! Great theme. Two things:

1. Seems in Dolphin, the left column with the folder listings and the (un)selected file name text color are not taking up the color scheme. The window background color is so dark that it can't be read. There is no adjustment for this text in Application Appearance>Colors settings that I can find. Where is the adjustment? I had to reduce the saturation/brightness/contrast/color of the 'window background' setting in the meantime.

Please advise.

2. For the newbs. Took a little to understand how to install it. First, make sure you have QtCurve installed in your system, ie, 'sudo apt-get install qtcurve'
a. Open KDE>System Settings
b. Choose 'Application Appearance'
c. Choose 'Colors' from left column
d. Click 'Import Scheme' on right column
e. Find 'Golden_Red.colors' file, click 'Open' button
f. Choose 'Golden_Red.colors' in the listing, Click 'Apply' at bottom.
g. Then click 'Style' in left column
h. Under 'Widget Style', choose 'QtCurve'
i. At lower right corner, click 'Apply'
j. Back to 'Widget Style' above, click 'Configure'
k. Under Presets, click 'Import'
l. Find 'renaissance.qtcurve' file and 'Open' button at bottom
m. Then click 'Save', then 'Apply' again
i. Enjoy!

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
The theme was created/tested under OpenSUSE 12.1 / KDE 4.7, so if you are using a different KDE version, I suppose it’s possible that some elements in the structure of color scheming were altered/dropped. Although, by your description, I do not completely grasp what elements are rendered improperly in your case, do I understand correctly that on the reference screenshot the colors in these elements are correct? Also make sure that you are launching the application under the same user that you are setting the color scheme for.

Concerning your installation steps, I will also advise setting the Window Decorations theme to ‘QtCurve’, as this will allow you to have the same background image / opacity settings for the window borders and client area, as in the screenshot.
