Description:

Compact menu-slab for bottom panel allowing swift access to important files, programs and options. When organized properly (favorites selection) you can work very efficiently, access network and tools or locate files. The Recent Tasks button allows you to return to your last work-environment in one click. A light shadow effect gives a pleasing 3D impression. Based on the 'Whise' slab example. A Read Me file is in the pack or can be found after installing in /usr/share/gnomenu/Themes/Menu folder. Tested on Mint 8 and Ubuntu 9.10. See it at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQN5aoEpYGw
Enjoy!

Yes, you are quite right !!!
I upgrade Gnomenu and have several panes jumping over my screen, preferably to the left top corner, where my menu button sits bottom left or right in the taskbar.

The older version of Gnomenu didn't show this behavior.

Strange at all. Indeed things hop around and not only from center, next time top left or so, but now and then as it should be, next to the menu button....
I have no idea what goes on here. More panes have this behavior...

Hello, love the theme, however it moves to the center on my screen.
This may be due to the fact I have my windows set to open in center instead of smart with compiz.

Anyway, I will test it. Check yours also and let me know, all my other menus open at the bottom right with the one exception of an purposely off set theme.

Thanks

When I change window preference to open smart, it moves menu to upper left corner.

It is reading the menu as a window.

Hi,

I have no idea where this phenomenon comes from. Did you try to delete the whole menu from your taskbar and next restart the menu again getting the same strange placement?
Then it might be a bug in Gnomenu itself, but I couldn't find references to it.
If other readers see the same, let me know.

Removed it restarted it still does the same thing.

Works down there until I click Home Folder and then it shifts to the center of the screen.

When I change compiz to smart, it locates it up in the left corner.

I am using Ultimate Edition 2.5 Gnomenu 2.3

Did you test the lower LEFT corner for this menu? And... do other menu themes the same?
In fact in the xml only the width and heights are specified, not the position of the slab itself in any way.
I can copy your problem somewhat, when at the Gnome desktop initialization something goes wrong OR when I click the Gnomenu too early, i.e. before it is completely loaded... Then I get the slab near the top of my screen. But deleting the menu from the taskbar and reinstalling it resets this situation...

All other menus are fine, with the one exception and it is suppose to be slightly off set.

It acts like a window and moves accordingly per compiz settings. I have not tried it without compiz running.

Then I must look into this somewhat more in detail. Can't do that now, it's late here in Spain already... Asap I'll be back on this, expect on Monday!
