The Footwork icon theme...
-is the ugliest icon theme on gnome-look.org.
-is currently under development. 98 % of all the icons you see are intended to be "placeholders" for what's to come. Heck, I haven't even decided on a color palette yet.
-does not support dark themes.
-is created from scratch. However, it is inspired by the common visual language of popular icon sets, Tango icons in particular.
-will constantly be updated until I loose interest.
In other words, if you are searching for some spiffy icons to spice up your desktop, look elsewhere. If you're still interested, check it out...
UPDATE: I'm currently too busy to continue work on this. I'll pick it up when I find the time (or not). If anybody wants to take over, just send me a message and I'll send you the complete working archives.

Thanks for the help Dan, I'll slowly start to introduce vector support with the next update.
@conorsulli
Thanks. This will take a lot of time until it gets good, so be patient... :-)

I like a lot of the metaphors that you use.
Also, I see what you mean by some icons simply being "placeholders" until you come back and draw it for real :)
My only suggestion would be to use SVG's instead of PNG's. Open-ness is good as well as scalability :)

Vector support is definitely planned for later versions of this theme. All icons are currently exported as PNGs, due to the fact that Gnome's SVG rendering engine gives me headaches. Cairo (I think Gnome uses Cairo???) renders various objects with an offset, some not at all.
Any help with that would greatly appreciated.
Anyway, if anyone wants the source SVGs in the meantime, just drop me a line and I host them somewhere.
Thanks again.
