for Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty
I modified the gtkrc of Clearlooks to better suit the MacMenu or Global Menu. It simply uses the same image file (panel-bg.png) as the background for the menubar and other panel applets, such as the clock and notification area. This results in a uniform panel appearance, and allows the user to easily change the look of the panel by replacing the file. The beauty of basing it on the Clearlooks engine is that the user can change the colors to whatever he wants by using the Theme Manager.
***TO CHANGE THE PANEL IMAGE***
Simply put the image you want in '~/.themes/Clearlooks-MacMenubar-Glossy/gtk-2.0/' and name it "panel-bg.png". I have included a few examples. If you don't want these, feel free to delete them-- just be sure to put a new "panel-bg.png" in the place of the removed file. Note: transparent images will NOT work.
***TO CHANGE THE PANEL FONT COLORS***
Open the gtkrc file, and scroll down to line 257. The font color options are described there.
***TO CHANGE THE MENUBAR FONT COLORS***
Go to System > Preferences > Theme, then click on the "Colors" tab. The menubar text color is determined by the "Window Text Color" option.
