Description:

This is just an idea to improve Konqueror. It would store screenshots of the websites you have in the bookmarks so you can see them when you put the mouse over each bookmark. It would also display them in the bookmark editor.

That could be combined with a "bookmarks:/" kioslave that also showed the screenshots.

I don't know how to implement it, but I don't think that would be hard to do.

The screenshots I attach are a fake. They've been made using GIMP.

Very good idea, especially the bookmarks:/ kioslave.

I think, it's a good idea, but I'm not really sure whether such a small picture will help to remember the bookmark.

The whole layout with the larger preview is great. I'd like to see this in Mozilla Firefox too. Perhaps someone could make an extention for Firefox.

I really like this. I especially like the idea of the kioslave. That could be really useful.

I think this would be a good addition to konqueror - as I have many bookmarks, and it's hard to remeber where they lead.

I think that having pop-up frames over a menu is not very inuitive. People do not expect it. A good user friendly interface also means behaving like people expect, and doing that in every application in a consistent manner.

I like the idea of the screenshots though, perhaps only in the io-slave?

i actually agree with you on this.menus dont have tooltips, so i dont think it is even possible to implement this without a major change in the code.

People do not expect it because it has not been done before.
