HI!
This is probably the shortest script for retreiving the local ip of a box.

Originally it was from the ubermon1.0 theme but i found out that it did not really work for me ... so i searched the inet for a solution an finally found one ;)
Just add the line
PATH="/sbin:"$PATH;
... to /home/user/.bash_profile and it should work. (maybe it works without it as well)
