Description:

This is a simple task bar. (top bar in the screenshot). You can either show all task or current desktop tasks only with the Configuration Menu Option (right click on the theme).

It has a 'log out' button and a 'show desktop' button.

Look on the first lines of the script to configure the iconpath and the portion of window used, as well as the preferred task bar width. You can also change the font color, size and family of the text.

===================================

I have problems with the tooltip Text for the images (they don't dissapear) so I did disable them. Let me know if you know how to solve it.

If you can help me with retrieving the full path of the icon used in a task (or just the task information otherway than karamba.getTaskInfo method), just post a message it wuold improve the script a lot!!

===================================

If you have any problems/suggestions, post a message here or email me.

Hi

the bar dont work on my system. I can start it, and Superkaramba shows that it runs, but it is not on the Desktop. I use Fedora Core 5. Only the Systemtray part works.

Any Idea what i can do?

What I do is to hide the KDE panel in the left (with autohide) and then launch superkaramba and leave it running.
When you log off, and on again, it will launch superkaramba automatically, i guess ... (it works for me)

Well be sure that you have the icons targeted in the link files.

I only changed the basics since it was the first karamba I tried. try to execute superkaramba & from konsole and see what does it says about errors and so.

I hope to be helpful.

Looks very promesing.
Gonne drop a feature request, i hope you will find them usefull;

Adjusteble hight of the bar including the applications on it.
An option to only show applications that are on the desktop you are using.

Thanks for the suggestions I will try to implant them in the 0.3 version.

I will also play a little with the virtual desktops letting the user to change a task from one desktop to another.

And thanks also to the 'good job' comment up there :).

well, I'll tell you both.

The lower left theme is one i had done for myself and you can find it here:

http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=13500

(I uploaded it)

The lower center panel is a theme that I downloaded from kde-look.com, I think it was called DynBar or something like that. I suggest you to search it by that name in karamba section.

Thaks.
At the bottom side of the creenshot I have a Sys Tray (where some applicaions -like kopete- leave their icons instead of levaing them in the task bar) and a panel like kicker.
Which one do you refer to?
