Description: I've tried many system info desklets for Karamba, I came across the Cybertron theme and I loved it's clean look & simplicity but I wasn't fully satisfied with the layout. So I've made a few improvements to the content, added some more images, redone everything in english and done separate themes for some instant distro-specific gratification thus making it a bit more n00b-friendly
In the package there are.... 4 SuSE themes 3 Tux themes 2 Slackware themes 2 Ubuntu themes 1 Kubuntu theme 1 Debian theme 1 Fedora theme 1 Gentoo theme
...and there's a choice between grey-transparent & clear-transparent backgrounds.
Enjoy...
..and don't forget to vote. Last changelog:
30.07.05 -Changed position of some of the content. -Added total network data transfer stats in MegaBytes -Added swap usage
03.08.05 -Added a Debian theme as a wink to the latest 3.1 'Sarge' release
05.08.05 -Added an image for a Pentium 4 CPU -Added an image for a Pentium M CPU -Added an image for a Celeron CPU -Added an image for a Xeon CPU
19.08.05 -Updated credits
21.08.05 -Was bored so cleaned up the slightly imperfect edges on the newer CPU icons.
Just what I was looking for - but the font is tough to read on my PC. What font was it created with so I can get it installed?
Thanks for your efforts ---
Open the theme in a text editor, and locate this line.
"defaultfont font="Sans" fontsize=9 color=255,255,255 shadow=1"
and change "shadow=1" to "shadow=0"
hi there,
I was just wondering how I could change the "MB" display for the disk space into a "GB" one?
Great theme anyway, very easy to configure... Thanks a lot!
I've just had a look into this and it seems that the extra CPU usage is being caused by the network monitoring.
34% CPU seems very high though...
Are you using ndiswrapped windows drivers for your NIC by any chance?
Yes, I am aware the processor is automatically detected. I should have been more specific and asked about the processor picture. All show an AMD processor for an Intel Chip. Can you make a P4 Processor Picture for this also?
Saludos Cordiales
This is awesome. I have been looking for a new SM. Anyway, are you inclined to change the processor for a Pentium4 based machine?
Just curious. I sure would like to have a P4 Processor.
The CPU is detected automatically by the "cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep '^model name' | head -1 | sed -e 's/^.*: //" command.
The screenshots where taken on my laptop, hence they all show the Pentium M CPU.

I think the theme is far too cpu heavy... I get 34% load when nothing else is running, and when I stop your theme the cpu idles at 5%.

Really nice looking......too bad it uses so much of my processor to use it.
Remove the shadow=1 effect. It doesn't help asthetically or practically in any way.

Done ;)
