Description:

Well it seems I didn't quite manage to stamp out all the bugs in the last release, but following a few bug reports and a very useful patch, I've got another release. This should fix those nasty crashes that people have encountered with large popup menus. Minimize/restore animations should now also work. Finally, I've changed the appearance of Kicker, as requested. Hope this is an improvement :)

ok. i'm running debian 3.0 r1 ... i've got all the needed packages and stuff..normally i don't have problems compiling any scripts, but...

hmm... i don't see the ./configure script inside the tarball i've downloaded... in the install and readme files there's an information to make ./configure and then make && make install (what else shoudl i expect) ...
what should i do ??

I was wondering what the library application is that is shown in the preview. It might be just what I need. Any thoughts?

Also you can get a Redhat-7.2 pre-build package from here:

ftp://ftp.opennms.org/people/ben/redhat-7.2/RPMS/kdeextras-qnix-0.2.1-2.i386.rpm

Do you have "kdelibs-devel" and "kdebase-devel" packages installed? Redhat doesn't install these by default, so you'll have to install the RPM packages from your Redhat CDs. Hope this helps :)

I have QNiX very nicely setup and installed on my computer, with just one minor problem: The kicker doesn't look good. The logout and lock buttons don't seem to have the standard decorations that make it look like a button. My kicker is on the bottom of my screen and is set to small, if that'll help...

Also, is it possible to add a help button next to the minimize/maximize/close buttons? I don't think QNX had this but it would be useful... Just make sure there is a way to disable it...

In response to the repeated requests above, the style is licensed under the GPL. Sorry in my delay in replying - I was away for a while.

Your style is the best! But it doesn't work for me;-). After make -f Makefile.cvs I get the following error message:
***Creating aclocal.m4
make[1]: aclocal: Command not found
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 127
make: *** [all] Error 2

I tried to compile this theme few times on my debian box, but ./configure always failed at zlib. Then I noticed that you can install it with apt-get. The package's name is "kde-theme-qnix" (unstable)

After installing this great theme I decided to get xmms-skin for it. I found qnx skin for winamp from http://skins.solardreamstudios.com/ I also found wallpapers & icons from that same url.

QNiX is the best theme I have found for KDE so far. I like the style and its very fast too.

I've just moved over to KDE because of this theme. Never worked with QNX before but I think they've got a great design.

I must be 5 years old, because I obvioisly can't read.

So no help needed any more. Now I go to the corner to shame...

I am trying to install theme version 0.2.1 to SuSE 7.3, but I get an error message:

************************************

***Creating aclocal.m4
make[1]: aclocal: Command not found
make[1]: ***[cvs] Error 127
make: *** [all] Error 2

************************************

and thats it. I am quite new with Linux, so thats why I can't solve this problem by myself.
