This set clearly constitutes unauthorized distribution of Iconfactory's icons. As you have clearly stated as their license: these icons "may not be disassembled, reverse-engineered or otherwise modified, in part or in whole except for personal desktop use. This includes conversion into other graphic formats such as jpeg, png, etc."

But you have converted the original icons to PNG format and distributed them without explicit permission from Iconfactory to do so. Kindly do the right thing and remove this set.

I understand your concern. I have written icon factory for their written permission, and am waiting their reply.

However, their license states that the icons can be modified for personal desktop use.

"disassembled, reverse-engineered or otherwise modified, in part or in whole EXCEPT FOR PERSONAL DESKTOP USE."

The REAL question and dilemma is can I distribute the icons on kde-look.org, because they have links to "FOR profit" websites (Lindows, etc.)

I appreciate your concern, becuase I wouldn't want someone stealing property from me. However, I am following their license, and these are free icons on many websites.

However, if kde-look.org, or iconsfactory asks me to remove the icons I will do so.

I didn't realize the icons were in png format ;)

..but since you ask you can use Icon Workshop:
http://www.axialis.com/axicons/

or betaware:
http://www.ping.be/liontech

or GPL:
http://www.bearca.com/software/icon2png.php

I love this set of Icons. I've seen them on other websites, but couldn't find them in a format that I can use until now. Thanks for doing the grunt work for me.

Dave Brasgalla is a icon genius. I love his work. Everyone should check out his talent.

Thanks for the reply. This is my first post. I've been following iconfactory for about 7 years now, and I think Dave is a genius also.
