QCometen3 (port of KCometen3 to Qt4)

Description:

KCometen3 is a popular KDE screensaver hosted on KDE-look.org. QCometen3 is a port of it to to Qt4. It doesn't depend on any KDE version, but should work in both KDE3 and KDE4. With some tinkering, it may work in Xscreensaver and gnome-screensaver too.

Unfortunately, QCometen3 doesn't come with a setup dialog. However, if you used KCometen3 before, QCometen3 can read its config files. If not, you'll have to create a config file in ~/.config/QCometen3.conf manually. (See default values at the bottom of the README.)

KCometen3 is by Peter Mueller . It was ported to Qt4 by Tomi Belan .

FYI I've been putting the finishing touches on KCometen4. It's a port of KCometen3 to KDE4 with a few bugfixes and a setup dialog that has a preview window.

You have inspired me to release it sooner rather than later ;-) Fortunately, it looks like we may be carving out slightly different niches.

Good to know! I'm actually using xscreensaver and trying to gradually move away from KDE apps, which is why I made a KCometen3 version that doesn't depend on KDE. However, I'll try KCometen4 when it comes out. Oh, and BTW, feel free to use some of my source code, if you want to.
