Description:

This is a Wiki engine for KDE, made for only personal use. Consider it a replacemente of KNotes and such apps.

You can create/remove pages, links between pages are automatically created.

I hope you like my first app :)

Hi !

I was just wondering if you were still around and considering a KDE 4 port ? A Tomboy clone for KDE would be most useful, IMHO. (even more if it could be compatible with it !)

cheers !

I have recently found a pretty nice program called Zim which is very similar to the KDE Personal Wiki.

If both programs use normal wiki markup then they should be compatible (haven't checked into this yet)

I was also thinking that Zim might be a nice place for getting ideas for features. It seems to have an interface that is a little more robust.

Any thoughts?

Having to save each change to a note doesn't seem natural. It would be nice to have some kind of auto-save feature.

Ok. But when should the application autosave? I have several options :
- Autosave after some time period of no activity
- Autosave when switching pages.

What do you think would be the most appropiate?

The latter seems better to me and will probably be easier to implement too.

Looks nice - if I were you I would include some screenshots showing the actual Wiki capability (putting brackets around the word and showing this word in the next screenshot as link).

By the way: in long term, if you really want to dive deep into KDE, contact the Akanodi team if it is possible to include your data within the Akanodi storage system which will be the main storage for personal data in KDE 4.

Sure, when KDELibs4 gets more stable, i surely port to KDE4 and use Akonadi.

currently only for windows, but it is open-source, and can be ported to Qt/KDE.

Does this wiki support storage in KDE-Resources, like IMAP or something?

Ehm, no. But i like the long term idea of using Akonadi storage.
