to sort PL automatically even you start not from 01 file
find 93 line: vlc.playlist.enqueue({new_item})
add after (new line) vlc.playlist.sort('title')
now if you even start from 05 - the next file will be correct 06, not 01.
Hey just a quick change I highly suggest adding
table.sort(similar_media)
after line 179 to make sure the list of files being added is in ABC order. Otherwise it'll add them in whatever order it wants (which is not always in any particular order). Crazy that this thing still works even after 4 years!

Does this work automatically after you open a file? Like it just loads everything else from the folder? I can't seem to make it work:(
