Holidays in Calendar are not displayed (days highlighted ).
It works well in Slim Glow (plasma theme prepared for KDE4).

I've upgraded to 5.9 and don't have holidays showing anymore. Will need to look into it. Maybe you could let me know which Plasma version you're running.

Ignore that other reply. Should be fixed now but let me know if there are still issues. Looks like it'll need some work updating to 5.9.

Sorry I forgot previously add version of used Plasma. It is 5.9, KF-5.30, Qt-5.8
Holidays now work well :). Thanks for fixing.

Only one minor issue is present. I mean that in other themes holidays are marked usually on blue color and your are white. To be honest I wonder why this is not red, because in calendar (at lease in my country) any holidays are marked red. This in so so much important. This is only my reflection.

BTW. I think that mechanism of updating Plasma themes is a bit broken. Or doesn't work at all. Anyway. I had installed your theme before using "System settings" , so I found then I can click just Upgrade button, so I did ti. Unfortunately nothing changed about holidays and directory in ~/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme was not changed :-/. To be sure that this is not issue of cache I restarted my operating system. After login, holidays still didn't work. In this case I applied brute method, so I removed theme and installed again. After that it started work. I think I have to report bug to bugs.kde.org.

Its not a bug. Plasma caches the theme images and so didn't load the new ones. The way I get around is by choosing the default theme then running rm -v .cache/plas* . This allows the new images to be loaded.

I'll make a red variant later today.

Sorry the correct command is rm -v ~/.cache/plas*

I aware exiting of cache very well. Manually cleaning cache this is not good solution. This is just work around for programmers. If in "System settings" is present Button "Update", then I expect that plasmatheme will be updated. when I use it. This is intuitive. Otherwise I don't see the meaning of existence button "Update".
Here update wasn't done even in file system. Of course in the moment of update I had different theme applied. I would understood this situation when I would like to update the same theme what I have applied, but "Simple Flow" wasn't blocked in these moment at all. Maybe button "Update" is not handled yet :-/.
I wonder why Plasma can't update cache automatically after plasmatheme will be updated (on file system).
Sorry for me this is bug. Updating doesn't work.

Also "Uninstall" doesn't work, or I don't know what is it purpose. Anyway I had to use "Remove theme" and "Get new theme" + "Install" to have new version of plasmatheme. Somehow then cache is updated. So maybe I have right and button "Update" is just not handled.

Second issue with this is that I don't see the version of installed plasmatheme till I open "Get new theme" and I choose "Installed". If I will don't do this then I will don't know that new version is available.

I think managing of plasmathemes is not polished yet. And has some holes.

Maybe so, been deleting cache for so long I don't bother any more. Anyhow, the red holiday markers look good ;)

OK. I noticed your new version of theme (with red markers for holidays) and I wanted to upgrade. How did I try:
- I selected some other theme
- I opened Get New Theme
- here I selected "Installed" and saw that I can upgrade Simple Flow
- I removed cache, but I did it a bit different than you said. Namely. Your command removes all cached themes, so I run such command:
rm `ls | grep SimpleFlow`. thanks that only cache related with this theme was removed.
- I back to System Settings and pressed "Update" button
- I closed window and back to themes selector - here I selected Simple Flow and pressed "Apply".
Theme of course changed, unfortunately was nothing changed in look. I mean holiday markers stayed white. And directory ~/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme/SimpleFlow still had the same last modified date. In cache has been recreated only file: plasma-svgelements-SimpleFlow_v2.0
Something doesn't work.

Second try. I have also your K10ne, so I wanted it also update. In this moment current theme was "Simple Flow".
Now my first step was remove cache as you said, so by command:
rm -v ~/.cache/plas*
Next I selected "Get New Themes" and here pressed "Update" button. Here I selected "K10new.tar.gz" and Apply in parent window. Theme changed, but probably old one, because in directory ~/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme/K10ne nothing changed. I mean all files have the same old last modification date. And BTW. Here holidays markers don't work.

I repeated operation doing "Uninstall" in "Get New Themes" window for "Simple Flow", before cleaning all cache like you said. After that I installed this theme again. I selected theme and applied changes. Again nothing changed. Holidays markers are still white. On file system theme has not been updated.
I'm 100% sure that "Update" and "Uninstall" doesn't work at all. The only solution is use "Remove theme" (including manually removing from file system) and install it again. Here cleaning cache is not necessary. After this operation I got red holidays markers.

Maybe I did something wrong and that's why I didn't receive expected result :-/.

I've removed K10new and am now using dated tarballs e.g. K10ne.8.2.17. Can't really offer any help with install/update because I tend to install manually, ie untar and copy to ~/.local/plasma/desktoptheme.
Perhaps you could ask on #Plasma (freenode) for further info.
