Description:

# Overview

This is the official Opendesktop App.
It allows you to directly install and apply most themes, wallpapers and other items for various desktop environments from within the app by directly using the "Install"-button instead of the "Download"-button.
Currently supported are many popular desktop environments like KDE Plasma, Gnome, Mate, XFCE, Cinnamon, Budgie, LxQt, Elementary, Trinity and Enlightenment.

# Installation

To try the app without installing, simply download the AppImage package and make it executable, then Double-Click on it.

To properly install the AppImage:
1. Download the package
2. Open a terminal
3. Go to the directory where the file has been downloaded
3. Execute the following commands by replacing *filename* with the actual downloaded filename:

$ chmod +x *filename*.AppImage
$ ./*filename*.AppImage --install

Proper installation is recommended to register the app in the desktop menu and make it check for updates.

Since switching to Electron, does it still need the Qt dependencies?

Nice - but when I download a file it downloads automatically to my Download folder and I always have to sort the downloaded files afterwards. Can you please add an option to always *ask* where to download to?

Can we get this in AppImage format to be available across platforms and to avoid the madness of the packaging formats across the distributions

We planning about releasing a universal Linux package, maybe we choose Snap, Flatpak, or AppImage.

Love the idea. For me, however, the KDE Store does not seem to install icon packs to the correct location (.local/share/icons/). Downloads successfully, but does not show up in system settings.

I am also experiencing this problem, but I am on version 2.1.1 and it is still an issue for me. Am I on the wrong version or has there not been a more permanent fix for this yet?
