Description:

Everyday usable dark theme suite mainly made for Xfce, IceWM or Openbox.

It looks very nice but there are a few annoying issues, observed with today's non-HiDPI version from GitHub/master on xfce4/xfwm:
- Settings like "Hide window contents" and "Focus for new windows" always change to all-checked (first settings) and not checked for the latter
- Desktop symbols ("Recycle bin", "Filesystem", etc) are hidden after each style change
- GTK 3, self-explanatory "mousepad" image: https://i.imgur.com/qUkddwX.png

I'd like to hear whether these are real bugs or are just a result of my own faults.

@xfwm

you can change this in the xfwm themerc: https://github.com/sixsixfive/0nyX/blob/master/0nyX/xfwm4/themerc#L4 or just remove the lines you dont want to use

@desktop symbols

thats totally new to me, sorry

@GTK 3

you probably use a GTK3 version prior to 3.20? you need at least gtk 3.20(released ~2016) for this theme

Thanks for your quick response!

I edited the themerc file and it works perfectly as expected now.
Regarding the desktop symbols and the GTK issue: My libgtk3-0 version is indeed a bit older, as you already thought (3.18). Thus, I will check again as soon I updated to a newer version.

Please provide an uninstall script to reverse all the changes made to config files, please. Specifically, I'm displeased with the fact that you've added "Change 0nyx Color" to my Mate system/preferences/look and feel/ menu. In the future, please do make changes with your theme that carry over to other themes... or, at least provide a warning. Thanks

Nevermind, I'm retarded. It was added to the repo, so I just used aptitude to uninstall. At any rate, though, does anyone know how to config that MATE menu? How do I delete repo?

Btw, it is a pretty sick theme for sure, though my personal preference is that the high contrast is too hard on the eyes. keep up the good work, bro.

With this theme, I am unable to use menu item shortcuts (ones you use with alt key). I'm using xfce. Is there a workaround to fix this?

yeah they are disabled since it dont really use them but you can easily enable them in the GTK settings,ini

It did worked. Thanks! Those huge hint underscores under letters made it look uglier though, this seems to be a genuine reason to disable them.

Well another issue; in Emacs, clicking and dragging in buffer area grabs and moves window (as if you hit alt-left click). This doesn't happen with other themes. What could be the reason?

should be fixed with that simple two-liner: https://github.com/sixsixfive/0nyX/blob/bbd717f6015dd3842cbdafb0f147cc98cefd7282/gtk-3.0/theme/all.css#L130

Hi there,

It looks really nice, but I'm having some issues with menus, they look all cramped, so far spotted the problem on Evolution as well as Xed (see secreenshot: https://imgur.com/a/U6Aec).
Running plain vanilla Linux Mint 18 XFCE 64 bits with all updates installed.
Thanks.

sorry, but you need at least gtk3.20 which was released over one and a half year ago

I found a mistake in the manual
ln -s $prefix/share/themes/phlat/@extra/appthemes/qt5ct/colors/phlat_QGtkStyle.conf $prefix/usr/share/qt5ct/colors/phlat_QGtkStyle.conf
ln -s $prefix/share/themes/phlat/@extra/appthemes/qt5ct/qss/phlat_QGtkStyle.qss $prefix/usr/share/qt5ct/qss/phlat_QGtkStyle.qss

Should be
ln -s $prefix/share/themes/phlat/@extra/appthemes/qt5ct/colors/phlat_QGtkStyle.conf $prefix/share/qt5ct/colors/phlat_QGtkStyle.conf
ln -s $prefix/share/themes/phlat/@extra/appthemes/qt5ct/qss/phlat_QGtkStyle.qss $prefix/share/qt5ct/qss/phlat_QGtkStyle.qss
I guess...

And there's a mismatch in the example of changing colors: #818DA5 on the picture but #94618E in the description.
Good luck! And many thanks for your job.

I've tried to change the highlight color using the command provided in the GitHub page but it just doesn't work. The message says the current color is the one I chose, but everything still is purple.

The theme is awesome, btw.

make sure you reload the theme after a color change(best way is to relogin) also there could be an issue with some older YAD installations so you could try the direct way eg (bash changecolor.sh -c "#16A085")

I've tried that, with no success. I've tried logging off and in again, restarting the X server and rebooting.

I've tried both ways with the script, and I've also tried to manually edit the gtkrc file in the gtk-2.0 folder (I'm using Lubuntu 17.04).

of the script had no error the active arrow should have your color intead of purple https://github.com/sixsixfive/phlat/blob/master/images/gtk-2.0/arrow-down_active.svg if thats not the case then you miss one of the script dependencies (sed, tr and/or find) alsp if you use lubuntu you should be able to install the deb linked above

My installation was broken, I tried installing again with the deb and now the color change works, thanks a lot!
