Following Sam Hewitt’s rules of grids, and making less conservative and traditional Magog64’s Suru++ Ubuntu, more than 15k icons have been redesigned, papirusified and improved with new cyberpunk colours and made been compatible with KDE, XFCE and other many environments! Check the new icons:

Hi rgoomes, I have just upgraded the icons, increasing from 2,2k to 4,7 icons, see if this upgrade fixes or not your KDE. If not, please, use Stacer to clean icons cache, log out and log in.

- Wish the smaller sized icons either use the default, or the smaller sized version of the Suru icons. Please replace the grey-scaled versions.

The nsap-built apps are hard-coded and the desktop files are locked and stored in the snap partitions. You need to copy the desktop files from snap partition to your_name/.local/share/applications and to remove them from snap folder. Then you need to modify "Icon" in the desktop files with text editor.

sudo cp /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/*.desktop ~/.local/share/applications
sudo chmod -R 777 ~/.local/share/applications
sudo rm /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/*.desktop

Go to ~/.local/share/applications
Open each desktop file of snap-built app with text editor and modify the icon, for example:

Icon=/usr/stupid_path_icon.png --> Icon=icon

Save

Log out or reboot or refresh the session

Hi Brokoli!

Linux Mint-coloured folders have been added!

Sorry for my long absence. I have just upgraded the icons theme, increasing from 2,2 to 4,7k icons and fixed more than 200 icons and others, including the session icons and the trash icons. It supports officially Steam and Flatpak icons now.

If you want to know why I was too absent, please read the first screenshot. Thank you a lot!

Looks awesome! But it seems borked on my Solus Plasma 5.14 desktop and version XX 3.1 for the icons. Some obvious ones are completely missing, note also the Reboot/Shutdown/Hibernate, etc, icons, which are only displayed correctly by the Desktop theme.

Any clues?

Hi, I was aware of this issue. I published the issue at https://github.com/gusbemacbe/suru-plus/issues/50#issuecomment-430439628

The original author of Suru++ Ubuntu did not build correctly the icons theme, so he messed Breeze icons and Sam Hewitt's Suru Icons, he is just a designer, not an experienced programmer. Therefore, I must work with this issue this weekend. In the previous version, I replaced Suru++ icons of actions, emblems and status for Papirus icons because the original author messed the icons.

As for the badly displayed/rendered icons, please, can you check the desktop files at /usr/share/applications and post in new issue at GitHub repository?

Thank you! Amazing work :)

It appears that the missing icons were due to the icon cache being messed up, interestingly enough this has only happened with Suru++ 20, changing to other icon themes didn't give any issues, and creating new user presented a similar problem, but with an interrogation icon in place of the missing ones.

I would say this was a Plasma bug for now, as after clearing ~/.cache/icon-cache.kcache everything is working as expected. I will dig around more if it happens again.
