I would like to have an AMD64 version, if possible. The i686 0.5 version stops on my amd64 laptop on modprobing rd.

I've been told that any distro will work on 64 bit, but since I'm Intel 64, maybe the answers already considered my platform.

Did you try passing any boot options? There might be some options, not that I know for sure, though.

end_request: I/O errordev sr0, sector 155776
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 38944
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 38945
SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0xd6bf
SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 35aac0d, size 50a8

I get the same errors again and again.
Please test to be sure this thing actually runs before you release it. You've smeared both openSuse and KDE in one shot. Way to go.

Just do not understand why this is Live CD is so High Rated!!! Most things just do not work. For example Alt+F2, kicker ...

This Live CD does not give me an impression of KDE4 at all.

I tried every Version of this Live CD, hoping it is getting better but it does not.

Haven't tried the cd but the kicker plasma is not written yet even if you compile it yourself.

I suggest people who want to try this CD use virtualization software such as VMWare or VirtualBox instead of real hardware. It seems too finicky otherwise. I've tried previous releases on both VMWare and VirtualBox with success, though the live CD has other issues as well...

I suggest to stop your publication of this SuSE dvd live with kde4.

Doesn't work correctely

It's not a good image for SuSE

note :
Working here without problem with SuSE 10.2

PLEASE STOP.............

This is a freaking Beta CD and none for productive use ;)
Stopping this would actually make SuSE look anti-innovative.

when I boot live-cd show:

loading kiwi cd boot-system
----

----
failed to mount swap device on:/dev/hda1
kernel panic - not syncing:out of memory and no killable processes...

and stop to load live-cd :(

I checked live-cd with md5sum is correct.

the /dev/hda1 is a partition of windows

He. This is problem of kiwi system, because it use first partition for swap.
I trying to change to change to hda5, but not works.

For me liveCD works because hda1 is ubuntu, hda2 debian, hda5 sawp and no windows

ATENTATION: hda1 must be about 1GB free 'cause system won't boot if there is not free place for tmp files

Sorry for my language mistakes :(

People check your jumper settings, make sure the cdroms are set to something other than cable select (unless the hd is set to cable select and they share the same cable).

That's usually one of the first problems. If that doesn't help then it is the CD.

Good luck, I'm going to download it too and test it on my test machines.

I have the exact same error, but I'm trying the iso with VirtualBox..
And yes, /dev/hda1 is the Virtual WinXP NTFS partition..

Are you planning on any kind of release cycle?
Will there be a re-spin like every two or three weeks?

Booted this in a virtualbox VM.

1. Needs more memory to work than anything else I tried.
2. Very elegant boot sequence
3. But sloooowww (at least in the VM)
4. Will be awesome when it really works.
5. OpenSUSE is different than the Debian I am used to but may be worth another look!

that's part of oxygen iconset, and if i'm not wrong is the K button
anyway if you want to see oxygen, you can browse kde svn svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/KDE/kdelibs/pics/oxygen

or use this script to download the oxygen icon set:
