Generate ANY Color theme!

Download the `master.zip` package and extract it.
Inside it run:

./generate-color-theme.sh VARIANT_NAME HIGHLIGHT_HEX_COLOR HIGHLIGHT_TEXT_HEX_COLOR

Example:

./generate-color-theme.sh FOOBAR '#123456' '#987654'

Installation

Download and extract the .tar.xz file.
Move the theme folder to ".themes" in your home directory.
To set the theme, run the following command in Terminal (replace "Skeuos-Blue-Light" with the theme you want to install):

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme "Skeuos-Blue-Light"

or select "Skeuos-Blue-Light" via your desktop specific tweaks application.

Metacity supports two theme types - GTK+ (gtk.css) and Metacity (metacity-theme-x.xml).

8 It is better but the dark is still too dark. If you don't have time to do a lighter dark. Can you make a white glow around the border of the window in focus? When there are several overlapping dark windows, even with the close buttons in color, it is hard to figure out the various windows. When there is only one or two windows on the desktop, this theme does indeed looks nice.

9 Great theme.

There's something weird going on with the firefox buttons though.
The distance between the outmost (close) buttons and the other two (maximize, minimize) seems off: https://i.imgur.com/z0MEpW0.png
My buttons are on the left side, but this doesn't seem to make problems with other GTK apps like nautilus or evince.

Hi! thanks for the feedback. Firefox is not too happy about the theme, not sure why. I don't have that issue with the buttons on the right side but it does show minor differences with the animations. I'll take a look and try to fix it soon ;)

9 Finally an up-to-date skeuomorphic theme :)
If it would use regular icons everywhere it would be perfect!
But this is easily fixed by adding "* { -gtk-icon-style: regular; }" to the gtk.css files.

9 Looks amazing. Especially purple/Violet theme. But Shell theme is missing, to be really perfect.. at least to me... hope to see shell theme soon, so that I can start using this theme.

Hi, i really love your theme but i have a litter problem with none csd decorator apps, i use gnome-flashback with compiz wm, when i maximize none csd apps like terminator for example, the title bar split in tow, i though it was relate to compiz, but it only happen with this theme, i don't have that issue with other gtk3 themes. any help will be appreciated and thanks for this excellent theme. :)

[20201104, Skeuos-Blue-Light variant] Looks great. I'm normally not super fond of themes that change appearance between focussed and unfocussed windows, but I really get what you're trying to do with flat vs. intuitively usable (skeumophic, non-flat, whatever) and I like it so far. Could you show gtk3-widget-factory in the screenshots, please? Idea, take it as you wish: I feel that the area contrast isn't quite "there" yet between buttons and backgrounds, between header/titlebars and content, and especially between listbox contents and headers. Perhaps the general lightness could be made less glaringly white (75-85%), and the overall darkness of the dark theme be made correspondingly less pitch black (15-25%)? I feel that this could be a way to improve area contrast a bit, and it doesn't have to come at the expense of text contrast. Use case: laptop, light theme user for font legibility, daytime + nighttime use, and "glare shock" avoidance when switching between a styled dark window and unavoidably non-styled things like web pages that tend to be black text on white. In dim conditions, I dial the backlight down. A light variant that isn't too glaring seems to really help me a lot there!
