It's a really nice cursor theme, except the bug when you try to resize the column in the file browser. It shows the vertical resize cursor, instead of the horizontal one. Fix it please!

Great cursor! I saw where the smaller size was requested... But nowadays, with hi-resolution monitors like mine, the cursor is just too small. I can only use a size 48 cursor--some themes give you a choice between two sizes

here is a method that works on more systems.
1. in terminal sudo "file manager"
2. extract the file from zip to /usr/share/icons/
3.create a symlink to the theme you want and rename it to default.
4.go back to usr/share/icons/ and rename the default folder.
5.move the symlink you created to usr/share/icons/.
6.restart your system.

Hi,
i love this Icon-Design. But for Dark-Themed Desktop, its not so nice.

Would be glad, if you could add some white-Lines near the glass of the icons, so that it is well viewable on light and dark background.

Is there a way, that i could adjust the icons, and the Pulse-Sequence and color?

Well done. Nice, nice job.
Reminds me of pulsing navigation lights (aircraft).

Can you please add a README with the file, or add it to the description of theme. I am having a hard time trying to figure out were to extract the files. I thought the download was going to be compatible with the System Settings > Workspace Appearance > Install file feature, but apparently it´s not.

This theme is great looking, but is it possible for you to make a small icon set? These icons just seem a bit too large for my use, and they seem to lose some accuracy when they are too large. I have trouble clocking the correct link, for example, with these cursors.

Wow, I honestly didn't think you would be awesome enough to do it! Dang, Linux users are so nice. Thank you very much!! This cursor is now perfect.

A really great theme! The only thing I'd suggest: The pulsing is kind of jerky, maybe there is a way to make it a bit smoother? It lights up quite slowly but then the glow disappears really fast, not quite symmetrically. :)

As explained in a previous comment, you can try to customize the pointer.

Here's how to change the waiting time animation of the pointer:

download xmc gimp plugin for load and edit the cursor with gimp
http://gimpstuff.org/content/show.php/X11+Mouse+Cursor+%28XMC%29+plug-in?content=94503

look at this picture http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/3493/editcursors.jpg
for editing with gimp, the waiting time of single frame

if you edit left_ptr save as left_ptr.xmc
delete left_ptr
rename left_ptr.xmc as left_ptr
if you have problems, I can do for you.
;-)

Thanks for your reply! I've managed to open the cursor file in Gimp and I also get the appropriate save dialog when saving it but I can't find the animation preview dialog (like on the first screenshot on the gimp stuff page) anywhere. Maybe it's an other plugin?

To preview animations, click Filters->Animations->Execute

the increase in frame from 16 to 30, not a problem, only a few Kb!

Kind Regards

Thanks. :) I also edited the mouse pointer the same way (just copying frames): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1507406/hand If you want, you can use both in your theme. :)

I see so many people resorting to showing links about using patched debs for compiz...meanwhile the patched debs are 0.8.4 compiz-core while others may have 0.8.6 or otherwise. And then what about updates? Hold back updates on compiz?

What crap workarounds?

Just do this...download the tar.gz file of the mouse x11 theme...

Extract as SU (I used gksudo krusader it has loads of features) the contents of the mouse x11 theme to the /usr/share/icons folder...so now the folder of the mouse x11 theme named Pulse-Glass will land in the /usr/share/icons folder...

Edit as SU usr/share/icons/default/index.theme and change the line to say Inherits=Pulse-Glass (or whatever mouse x11 theme you used)

Then reboot, and your mouse theme will work everywhere...

No silly patching, then disabling updating of compiz...just fool the computer instead...

Laters.
