Thanks!

Yeah I used compiz for the transparent effects....
It was a long time ago since I used compiz so
I don't remember how I did it...

Now I use kde-svn (4.2 branch) and I'm so happy
with
it I have no thoughts of using anything else :)

it shouldn't be hard to find a great tutorial on
how to fix the transparency with compiz

sorry for not being very active here and so on,
to be honest, I haven't visited this page in a long
time :)

any transparency you see in the screenshot
are done with compiz (has nothing to do with the
theme).

If someone want to take over this theme to further
develop it, be my guest, I don't think I'll develop
it any further myself as I haven't used gnome in
a long time now :)

all the best and thx for all support!

This theme features so much effects and stuff
I never even thought was possible, or even related to
themes!

I know I should keep my mouth shut and obey for
you doing this for us, but stuped as I am I actually
have a question, would it be possible / doable
to make the toolbar buttons behave the way
they do in the domino theme for kde3?

You know they like integrate to each other and
gives a very slick and professional in my opinion.

That is the one thing I'm missing in appearance since
kde3, don't cut my head off now, I'm just asking :)

amazing work so far!

I never install a theme with square buttons
and square windows... cause they all
suck!

And I wasn't gonna install this either,

...Now when I have it installed I do not
want to change to another theme :D

It's by far the most usable theme on this
site!

You sure seem to know what you are doing,
I liked the progressbar effect :D

I really hope we are going to see more
from you man!
Maybe more options for like some rounded
buttons or stuff like that...
Anyway, I know you are doing this for free

are doing, well at least I am!

Thanks!

KDE 3.5 Themes by morgenrot 404 comments

Hi daX!! Very glad to hear other people
are sharing my interests in getting this
over to kde4... If I had any skills in
C++/Qt4 I would help you!

I'm sure this is one of the harder styles
to port since it has features none of the
other styles for kde 3 has...

That is why I am so interested in this personally.

I personally have no programming skills but
I looked at some of the code for domino
and my jaw simply dropped,, I knew there was
no way I could ever understand any of it :D

All the best!

KDE 3.5 Themes by morgenrot 404 comments

Well first, Amazing theme/style you
have created... the only one I ever used
on kde 3!

I really liked everything with it, how
the toolbar buttons blend together and
how the tabs work!

So now that people are starting to use kde4,
I'm wondering, are we gonna see domino
style for kde4?

I really can't put it into words how much I have enjoyed
using kde with the domino style!

really man! 10/10 stars!

hmmm, if your distro is using aptitude
try this:

hope this helps!

Thanks and glad you like my work!

I'm on kde nowadays myself so I don't
think I will be developing any more
themes/styles for gnome/gtk :)
I would port it to xfwm if I knew how
tho :)

if you use compiz you can use the emerald
version.

the fix is for firefox 2 and has nothing
to do with ff3... I maybe should
edit the description.

Thanks for your interest man! sorry
I can't help you more :)

GTK2 Themes by TheRob 524 comments

Well thanks again man!

well, yeah, there are a lot of bugs in
slickness (and every dark theme here on
gnome-look) because gnome was build
with dark text on light background
in mind,
so if you make something dark with
light text,,, it's doomed, I have spent
many many hours trying to solve bugs
like these, the apps that usually have
them are the ones that are not actually
gnome (gtk) apps but multiplatform
apps, that work on many systems, eg:
firefox (I hate it and never use it myself)
openoffice,vlc,gimp.... you get the
picture.

Some of these bugs I was able to fix
from within the gtkrc (gtk+ configuration code) , it's how you
write themes for gnome (and other gtk
based systems)
and then there was the firefox problem...
or is... but now it's a different one
with ff3 :)

so the only solution I saw at the end
of the day was to make an all light
theme, can be found here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/vision+(codename+inspiration)?content=80064
and so far, no one has had a deadly
font bug as far as I know :)

My best regards to every themer who
is determined to make a fully functional
dark theme!

great!

kde 4 is still in a stage of development
so it might not be very user friendly
yet, but it seems to be heading in the
right direction, atm I use kde 3.5.9

in gnome :)

I warmly recommend kde to anyone that wants
