There are many tutorials on the KDevelop website. Take a look at them for inspiration. - Jun 19 2006
Which KDevelop version ?
Which KDE version ?
Which berkeleyDB version ? - Feb 09 2006
First of all, this is not the place to report bugs. KDevelop bugs should be reported to the bugzilla database.
http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=bugs.html

Second, code folding is done by the editor. KDevelop supports many editors: kate, qeditor, yzis and nedit.
You do not specify which editor you selected in KDevelop preferences, so I do not know which one you use.

Third, it works fine here with kate, KDevelop 3.3.1, KDE 3.5.0, SuSE 9.3 - Feb 09 2006
Sure it is possible:

Welcome to the developer team. - Apr 11 2005
Try the new KDevelop HEAD. It's code completion features and it's debugger have been improved. - Jan 24 2005
That error message is associated with a bad .so file.
Delete that file and it will work fine. - Oct 29 2004
Yes it is possible and we have a document that helps you to do it:

Printf is a very strange function. Check the FAQ, forum, and Bug database.
All the links are on the website. There is information in one of those on how to get it to work. AFAIK it is NOT a KDevelop bug. It is (if I remember correctly) a GDB issue. - Aug 26 2004
yeap, there is always a lamer complaining about something, not explaining exactly what, not giving ideas on how to improve it etc.
And he doesn't answer when we ask him questions. So probably it's the same lamer over and over.

This guy is a pain!! - Aug 25 2004
Check the website regularly once we have such a tutorial we will post it there. - Aug 24 2004
If you had read the requirements page of the website you would have seen that you need to downgrade the Berkley DB version. - Apr 14 2004
Take a look at :

for details about Java support in KDevelop - Feb 06 2004

Unfortunatly, yes it is a known problem:

But all help is welcome. - Jan 30 2004
Yes, each subfolder must be a library.
It's a design thing of the autoprojectpart in KDevelop. For more info look at the "feature wish" :

and

Hi,

KDevelop has a clearcase plugin. Why not improve that one ?

The KDevelop team welcomes new members. - Sep 12 2005

Hi,

Why don't you integrate it with KDevelop platform ?
You would get lots of nice features for free and you would need to code less.

It has a nice API documentation and for example Quanta (the next release) is going to be based on it. - Aug 30 2005

Why didn't you comment on my last post ? - Aug 30 2005
Yeap I also think it makes sense. There is no need to have two different IDEs. KDevelop is flexible enough to integrate PiKdev code (KDevelop is plug-in oriented).

And that way PiKdev would "magically" gain features like CVS integration, project wide search and replace, documentation browser,.... etc etc. - May 25 2004

Have you seen "kdevelop platform"?
It's a light-weight, non-intrusive IDE library. It is the base library of KDevelop and it will become the base library of Quanta too. Maybe you could use it as base library of KScope too.

All the info is concentrated here:

I've found the problem:
I was using unsermake and three files had a "KDE_EXPORT"

I used normal autotools and removed the "KDE_EXPORT". Patch follows:

Today's cervisia HEAD does not compile against KDE 3.3.2

Could you please tell me how to fix it ? - Mar 08 2005
I kind of fixed it in cvs ;P - Jun 01 2004
It doesn't compile against KDE 3.2.2.
So please either fix it or make it only a CVS HEAD release instead of saying that it works with KDE > = 3.1 - May 31 2004
