Thx for porting this marvelous piece of theme to 3.6!

Had to use elegance-colors in the meantime, which is great too, but your theme just tops it! :) - Jan 24 2013
Works great and doesn't affect the readability after all, at least not with darker panel settings. Thx! :) - May 24 2012
Two suggestions regarding your fine customization script; how about enhancing it by the following options?

1) An option to remove the icon from the application button in the top panel.

2) An option to EITHER use the black, shortened tray panel OR the transparent, full screened one. - May 23 2012
FUCKING AMAZING!!

Awesome theme, great customization script!

Thx! - May 22 2012

Well, basically you can, but it looks ugly with maximized windows. Fake transparency would help, I guess... - Nov 17 2011
Because it's either translucency or rounded panel corners.

+1 for rounded corners, btw. - Nov 16 2011
Great changes you did there in 0.3 - especially the invert-rounded panel, love it!

Keep the awesome work coming! :D

- Nov 16 2011
Awesome theme, quite what one would expect from the genius behind the greatest iconset ever made! ;)

One thing, though: Have you ever considered adopting the invert-rounded corners for the panel like in the original Adwaita theme? I really like this style. Or is there an easy way to do it myself?

P.S.: Can't wait for your GTK3-Theme to be released - hurry up, goddamnit! ;) - Sep 08 2011

Great Faenza-Mod, love it! :)

One question: Which version of Nautilus do you use in the upper screenshot? It looks like 3.0.x, but unlike mine (3.0.2), it has a separate 'Devices'-Section. - Jul 10 2011

One thing I really like about the default shell theme are the invert round corners of the top panel. I'm shure this would look pretty great on your theme, too. :) - Jul 07 2011
Uh, didn't know that. Quite handy, thx! :)

Still, if you are using a laptop touchpad without a third mouse button, having a resize grip is very useful. - Jun 24 2011
Btw, I've noticed that the resize grips (on the right bottom of every window) are gone - is this on purpose? 'Cause even if they are not very sexy, they shure are damn useful. - Jun 24 2011
The other revision (v69) has been deleted, obviously.

For those installing unico via AUR, use this PKGBUILD for now: http://pastebin.com/Rcws7xQe - Jun 24 2011
I was already wondering why there hasn't been any update in such a "long" time (compared to your usual release schedule)... :D

Again, great work - be assured that I really appreciate it! - Jun 22 2011
One little detail: Some icons in the Systray are drawn smaller than others for some reason. Doesn't seem to be an iconset specific issue, since the Faenza Dropbox icons are affected as well as the standard Pidgin icon. This is what it looks like:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1447551/systray.jpg

No biggy, just mention it for coherence sake... :)

- Jun 08 2011
Dude, you're fukkkin' awesome - and so is your theme! :)

Works like a charm now... - Jun 08 2011
I really like your theme, but I'm still facing some performance issues with GTK2 applications.

GIMP, for example, has some noticable delay when drawing freely. Same goes for some mouse over events, like in Pidgin. Whenever I hover over a buddy with the cursor, the "shadow" seems to be drawn faster than the actual info popup (if you know that I'm talking about).

Great work non the less! I use your Shell theme already and am really looking forward to use the GTK theme as well (as soon as the glitches mentioned above are solved).

Plz keep on rockin'! :) - Jun 07 2011

>>(the theme is already on the verge of becoming unmanageable due to complexity)

I can only imagine what you mean, since I've never created a GTK theme myself. I spent some time heavily modding existing ones, though, and almost went insane over this mess of one huge workaround which GTK2 has become. ^^

Thats why I'm so incredibly thankful for the configuration tool Orta comes with!

>>Do you like the new expanders btw?

Love'em! Haven't decided yet, but I think I'll keep it "Simple". :) - Dec 18 2010

Not only did your incredible theme make me convert instantly from elementary GTK (didn't thought that was even possible), it also keeps getting more and more awesome with every release!

I just received the recent update (1.2) via PPA and I am really glad to see that you managed to fix the panel app "button" glitch! Just nitpicking, but having the Show Desktop app higher than my other Faenza-Icons really bugged me. ;)

Seriously, fantastic job you're doing on this theme - keep the good work coming! :D - Dec 18 2010

UPDATE: Horizontally, I meant.

And I just found a nice workaround, so never mind. ;) - Sep 26 2010
UPDATE: Just found out that the width variable actually does work and the reason why I haven't noticed any effect is that the shapes widen to the right (and therefore are being cut of by the right border of conky itself).

So my NEW QUESTION is: How can I alter the shape_pos of the rectangles vertically? - Sep 26 2010
Thank you so much for the last two updates! Now my personal modification of conky colors fits my taste almost perfectly.

Almost, that is, because there still is one tiny flaw in it. Thing is:

In conkyCairo.lua, editing the 'height' variable for the round_rectangle does what it is supposed to (thus, changing the height of the rectangle shapes). Editing width, however, does not seem to have any effect at all. This kind of sucks, 'cause I need at least one wider rectangle background for my top 5 processes. Otherwise, the names overlap the values (like shown in this screenshot: http://www.abload.de/img/conky5dks.jpg).

- Sep 25 2010
Thx man, awesome job! :D - Sep 21 2010
Hey dude,

I just tried to adjust the conkyCairo.lua to my personal needs (mostly colourwise) and am bit stuck now. Maybe you can help me out.

Thing is: It seems like the background 'shapes' are somehow rendered in front of the ring meters, so setting the bgc to a darker colour (in the 'if shapes == "on" then' section) results in a pretty dark 'overlay' for the ring meters, even if they are set to a bright colour (e.g. 0xffffff and bga 1).

So, any tips on how to put the ring meters in front of the background? - Sep 18 2010
Let me just tell you that I fucking adore you for the bloody damn awesome work you are doing with Conky Colors! I've been using it for ages now as a base for further customizations - and the --cairo option almost makes my life complete!

Again, thank you sooooo much! - Aug 09 2010
Great work! Besides some minor bugs your installation routine runs like a charme and the conky script itself works great and looks fuckin' awesome!

Couldn't have done it better, big THX! - Aug 06 2009

Fantastic Theme, great work!

One thing though: Using New Wave with Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 (Karmic Version), the Menu Bar keeps its black font color on the rather darkish background and is therefore hard to read.

Any suggestions how to change that? - Feb 27 2010

I must say I do like this Screenlet. Used it with Ubuntu and thought it might really come in handy with Crunchbang, a great Distro using Openbox as Windowmanager and PCManfm as Filemanager.

Problem is: Whenever I click on a Folder or a Textfile, nothing happens.

Instead, I get this Error-Log:

Warning: unknown mime-type for "/home/bung/Desktop/NOTES" -- using "application/octet-stream"

Any idea how to fix this problem? - Oct 08 2009
