Any way to change the background so the screws are Torx? My favourite kind of screws, and I see them a lot on PC googies lately.

Thanks - Aug 31 2003

very pretty but i like to have more of a gentoo purple background or more of my favourite blues or greens. red to me looks like i am in a root kde session and i get paranoid. but very nice. - Oct 13 2004

I'll see what we can do but won't make any promises if it can be incorporated in version 2.0. - Jul 30 2004
I guess pronouncable in sense something like "lime$apple"? or more like "4agr8time"?

However, I dont know how secure that can be, I think a secure password thats easy to remember defeats the purpose. In my experience, using a root password similar to the ones generated from my app takes only a short amount of time to dedicate something totally nonesense into memory. - Jul 19 2004
What are you referring to? The alogrithm that outputs the random string? If so, yes it is my idea. It probably isn't the most clever of ideas, but it gets the job done :-). - Jul 19 2004
Letting you know I am still actively working on version 1.5 where it would have a few more features and hopefully I can get this up before the weekend is over. - Jul 17 2004

can you perhaps make more icons to replace the terrible ones in the interface? (warn, block, send file, remove, info, send, among others. i really dont care for that Gtk look. - Jul 29 2004
yea okay that did work and i didnt need to restart gaim either. coolness, thanks for the great icons ;-) - Jul 21 2004
i assume then my .gaim directory thats in my profile/home dir, or the root gaim directory /usr/share/pixmaps/gaim?

ill try the latter now. - Jul 21 2004
I tried installing as told but nothing happened.

I am using gaim .80 Mandrake 10

i had compiled the build for mandrake 10.0 official. it works splendily, however, after sometime, my themes just hang requiring me to kill the process.

is this a known problem? - Jul 27 2004
Everything installed fine and modules run fine as well, but its alway above anywindow, it doesnt stay glued to the desktop. Has anyone else have similar results with Mandrake, or is there somekind of always on top feature i missed someplace? - Jun 04 2004

There is another sys-mon similar to yours, though not flat, but whats neat about it is, it has lm_sensors utilisation thus i get fan speed and cpu temperature. if you dont want to implement it, i understand, but if you dont mind, making "icons" for it so someone who is clever in python can implement it? other than that, i love it!

cheers,

im at work now so ill check it when i get home.

though if ifconfig is run by /sbin/ifconfig on most systems i deal with it should work fine. /sbin usually isnt listed in standard paths for normals users by default. the program should cause no problem if absolute path is given. so i shall try that when i get home. now its the best monitor! ;-) - Aug 14 2003

i like to see total bytes/megabytes/gigabytes received on eth0. i believe ifconfig will show this information just that one would need to use awk/sed/cut to get rid of the other stuff is my guess - Aug 11 2003

try changing ppp0 to eth0 instead

i like to know how much i am receiving and sending. how can that be added to it.

output eth0 info from ifconfig RX TX fields. i am not good at sed/awk so i would have a blash cutting that crap out1 - Jul 23 2003

for those that want it, i scoured google and found this link: http://www.sliceoftheday.com/aki/index.cfm?start=1

there are three images. one that looks like that was used for this wallpaper. the 2nd one is w/o clothing, and the last one appears from magazine.

i am interested in seeing a wallpaper with her nude in it. no logos. maybe something that just says aki ross.
or a tux penguin in the corner.
