Thanks so much for sharing the most beautiful GTK3 theme to date! I'm especially fond of how you did the tabs.

One issue I noticed however, is that this theme doesn't play nice with gnome-panel (aka "Gnome Classic" in Ubuntu). The color around the time/date and global menu text is a different color of grey than the rest of the panel.

Thanks again for the fantastic theme! - Oct 31 2012

This is possible on gnome-look. All that it requires is that the next time you update the theme you do it under this thread (as appose to release 2.0 in another thread for example). - Nov 29 2011
Great work you've done.

Any way that you can update this theme in one place so that the people who love this theme and subscribe to it, like me, can get notified when it is updated?

Thanks a lot for you hard work. - Nov 29 2011

Love the icon. However, if you look at the right and left side of the icon (especially when it is highlighted), it looks like you colored outside the lines a little.

Great icon though. I await the update. - Oct 21 2010

Thanks for the great replacement icon. I was wondering if you would be willing to make a complete set of 48x48 status icons in this style for pidgin. A set like that would look awesome with the pidgin's AWN plugin.

Thanks again for the great icon. - Oct 03 2010

Besides the missing rhythmbox icon, I also noticed that the fifrefox icons are mislabeled--firefox is now simply "firefox" and not "firefox-3.6" etc. Also, I was hoping you could make icons for Abiword, GCstar, Google Earth.

Thanks so much for your great themes and all your hard work.

This release was such a dramatic departure from previous updates, that originally, I didn't like it at all. However, after using it and seeing how complete the set was, and how well all the icons fit with one another, I was won over.

My one criticism, that I have seen at least one other person mention as well, are the web browser icons. They don't have any resemblance to the programs they are supposed to represent, and I hope that you end up re-working them. I also hope you update the banshee and virtualbox icons to fit in with the rest of the icons in this updated theme.

Anyway, thanks so much for all your hard work on this theme. You are truly a talented artist and your contribution(s) help to make Linux as beautiful as it is powerful. - Jan 30 2010

Great to hear you'll be releasing an update for Lucid when you get the chance. Something I've noticed that has changed in Lucid, in Rhythmbox, is the icon for the "change the visibility of the browser" (aka the button to the right of the shuffle button). They must have changed the name of this toolbar icon because it no longer uses the custom icon. Besides fixing that in the update, could you please post the name / location of this new icon when you figure it out? I want to update my other themes too and can't for the life of me figure out what icon is being used.

Thanks for all your hard work. - Jun 07 2010
What I meant by "kde icon" was kde4 icons. I was in a bit of a rush when posting that. Including the kde4 icons sounds like the logical move. - Jun 23 2009
I actually really like the nav icons. The only thing that would look more consistent would be the kde icon but, like I said, the ones used here look grat I think. - Jun 23 2009
Thanks for the update. Glad to see the classic oxygen style docs made it in there. How you switched around the archives so the fold is in the bottom right is pretty cool too--still, I think the oxygen archive would look better, but thats just my opinion. Any way we can get the old blue home folder back? The new one just doesn't look right on the desktop--it looks good in firefox though like it was before. Anyway, thanks again for the update. Keep up the good work. - Jun 15 2009
Thanks for the quick reply. I hate to nitpick at a wonderful theme here, but I have one more thing for you to consider. The old document set matched the current archive set (both have the fold at the upper right as apposed to the oxygen style lower right). Any way, would you consider moving back to the Oxygen style archive icons in the next update...for consistency's sake :) ? I'm sorry I keep making all these little requests. I really do appreciate this theme and all the work you put into it. - Jun 14 2009
I see what your saying. Having a different set for MS documents does make it easier to tell formats apart. Still, it just doesn't look right having two, very distinct looking, sets of document icons in one theme set. That being said, I think your right in wanting to make it easier for people to tell formats apart. What I was thinking was overlaying the various standard oxygen docs with a simple "MS" or similar in the upper right hand corner. Since we are on Linux, we don't need to id openoffice, Koffice, or abiword docs in this manner since it is MS who is the odd man out. Something simple like that would both maintain the theme's consistency and remind people what is MS and what is not. Let me know what you think. - Jun 14 2009

Yeah, this is great--thanks a lot. Finally, any idea how I can fix the issue with the metacity menu button having a jagged right side when the window is maximized (this only happens when the metacity menu button is customized to be on the far right of the window instead of the far left)?

- Feb 26 2010
Thanks for you response--commenting out that line fixed OO.o perfectly. However, commenting out the other lines just changed the scrollbar to the color of the metacity buttons when they are not highlighted--I wanted the scrollbar to be the color pattern of the metacity buttons when they are highlighted (a more glossy blue pattern). How would I go about doing that?

Thanks again,
-klemperal - Feb 26 2010
Thanks a lot for sharing your great theme--this is definitely my favourite. Having used it so long however, I have noticed several bugs. First, the scroll bar area disappears in Open Office. Second, when the title bar is arranged like a Mac (close, minimize, maximize, title, menu), and a window is maximized, the menu button (that is on the far right in this set up) ends up having some jagged lines along the right side of the circle. Finally, I always thought this theme would look perfect if the scroll bar was the same colour pattern as the highlighted title bar--maybe you could release two versions where one version has the scroll bar as it is now and the other has the scroll bar as I suggested it.

Anyway, thanks again for your contribution. Also, let me know what you think of my suggestion for the scroll bar. - Feb 24 2010

Also, have you considered updating the navigation icons?

I truly hope I don't come across as painting a rose black with my suggestions--this is by far, in my opinion, the best looking and most complete gnome icon theme out there. However, as I have had more time to use and look at this this theme, it seems to me that about half of theme's stock icons need to be updated to match the new color scheme and style you introduced in this update. For example, the new blue color used for the folders does not match the old blue used for the stock navigation/dialogue icons etc--compare /stock "gohome.png" to "gtk-dialog-info.png" to see what I'm saying. Also, the new green color used for the stock navigation arrows does not match the old green color used for various other functions--compare /stock "back.png" to "go-jumpA.png" or to "gtk-apply.png" to see what I'm saying. Finally, as I mentioned earlier, many of the arrow stock icons do not match the new slightly faded back end style. To sum it up, color and style consistency needs to be further updated across the entire set with the introduction of your new style folders and navigation arrows.

Again, I hope I don't come across as negative--that is not my intent. I really do love this theme and I hope that my suggestions only help you to improve what is already a fantastic theme. - Oct 30 2009
I thought that message might get lost in translation--sorry about that.

I wanted to thank you for the update and all your hard work. Also, there were a couple small suggestions I had for the theme. The first thing I wanted to mention was that the color of the stock "add.png" doesn't really match the new style of the green navigation arrows--the new navigation arrows seem to be a slightly lighter shade of green. Also, the stock "refresh" icon does not match the other navigation arrows--the new arrows have the back end slightly faded out where as the refresh icon is solid. I also wanted to throw in a request for a games folder.

If I wasn't clear enough with my description, please let me know and I'll send you some screen shots to try and clarify things.

Thanks again for sharing this theme with all of us. Its definitely my favourite. - Oct 26 2009

- Oct 26 2009
I would love some extras. Is there any way we could could get some extra 'places' folders like games, ebooks, pictures etc? Anyway, thanks so much for the great theme. - Aug 23 2009
I'm looking through the "original places" folders and I don't see an add-folder or a documents folder in the original style. Also, is there a place we can download the older theme?

This theme looks really good so far. However, there are a few little bugs I noticed. First, the rounded location bar in nautilus appears to have some artefacts around it. Second, this theme doesn't play very nice with firefox--once a button is highlighted (eg forward, back etc), it changes the background color of that button until firefox is restarted.

Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us and keep up the good work. - Nov 25 2009

Thanks for the link. I like this modified version of nautilus a whole lot better. If there were an easy way to enlarge the size of the icons in the side pane, then nautilus would be just about perfect. - Oct 15 2009
Great job on, and many thanks for, putting this theme together. I am curious as to how you managed to get nautilus to look like thunar in your screenshot. If I am mistaken, and you are actually using thunar and not nautilus, then how were you able to change the folder icons within your home folder?

Sorry for so many questions :) Keep up the good work. - Oct 15 2009

No, the problem is that network icon in the system tray doesn't match the computer icon. if you tell me how to post a screenshot on here I'd be happy to show you what I'm describing. - May 19 2009
Its the 'wired network connection' icon in the notification area of the sys tray. I took a screenshot of what I'm describing, but I don't see how to add it in this post. - May 19 2009
Usually the network icon is a two computer icons. This theme seems to use the default gnome network icon which make things a little inconsistent.
