sorry sebastian, but i have no time to manage this now...
any czech speaking volunteer here? - Apr 10 2002
sure it's nice to hear this from you but i don't think i'm the best one here about myself ;)
here are much more creative ones (and much more rated good ones ;) and i really like e.g. Konstellation and other your artwork stuff too!
- Apr 10 2002
...everybody want a bigger version but this is a problem. why? simply cause i have not bigger image of the butterfly and resizing it up degrades the image quality. give me a bigger resolution copyright-free butterfly image and i will try my best to make ya all satisfied ;) - Mar 24 2002
..with u that the "null-ones" is much used idea and it is subject to change ;)
about the text: there is a bit hidden "K" over all the space of wallpaper followed by "dimension environment (digitally manipulated)" what means for me that it looks like from another "inseKts dimension" for me and the image is digitally manipulated by computer graphic tools ;)) - Mar 24 2002

(with me) just remove the bevel (it's not fine) ;) - Mar 30 2002
but (i always have the "but" :o)) i think there was actually no need to add the bevel and to change the radioactive sign position and the "KDE" appearance
(anyway you can be sure i voted good ;)) - Mar 30 2002

... somewhere! i mean the picture of cog-wheels used as a main motive...
is it copyright-free? it's a bit much used (by the micro$hit as well) idea and they're ugly imo too. what about replacing them and leaving just the corner part of the radioactive sign?

(just my opinion)
ps: wow! i'm giving comments today for free ;o)) - Mar 30 2002

i'm working on it. i have found just one dilema:
should i cooke them (32x32) that way as you can find them (the two icons for kmail and blender) in my preview pack?
or should i cooke them as an "shrinked" version of 48x48? i've tried it, but the result was, that the icon inside the cube was in my eyes too small to recognize what should it represent - Mar 07 2002
... cause it just fit well with my desktop and looks good. yes, i was thinking about other colors too and about how they goes together between and together with the background. i've found the solution in the semi-transparency, i believe. thanks to the transparency it goes perfectly with every color and every background i've tried (and if not, choose other one ;) even they are not "compatible" with yellow (yes, i've studied it ;).

tell me which color do you want for "common applications and stuff" and i can think about it. you can choose from the next Kubical colors: yellow, orange, red (i don't recommend this) and green.
- Mar 07 2002
my colors concept goes as follows:
gray (silver) - unmounted systems, disabled stuff
yellow - common applications and stuff
orange - mime types
red - superuser, admin (root) icons, locked (private) stuff
green - filesystem stuff

(suggestions welcome)

unfortunatelly blue doesn't match with my color scheme... maybe sometime in the future - Mar 06 2002
just try it again please... it is 77KB only. (unpack it to your kde icons directory) - Mar 05 2002

try in Control Center:
Look&Feel->Window decoration->IceWM Settings->...and below you should have something like this:
[ ] Use colors of theme for title bar text
... just switch it on - it must help imho.

... good and original. just one suggestion:
make the border line thickness the same size as so as the black line under the titlebar. it would look more consistent imho. - Feb 17 2002

remove the black big-mouthed sub-text. "desktop environment" is enough - i think.
also i'm not sure about colors, but it's pretty subjective. anyway the idea is great and imho original!
i just don't understand the title. my nick for this wallpaper would be rather something like "Kroller" ;-)

...but i don't expect them very useable on my poor slow comp. if i'd used gnome, i will prefer probably these (by the same author - jimmac):
yes, jimmac is great graphics designer - one of the best i ever seen on net - and he choosed gnome. anyway there are great artists (everaldo) contributing to KDE too - some links to their cool work you can find e.g. here:

...much better than your IceWM decorations ;) Why not to try make something to fit with these colors used on this wallpaper?
The idea to rotate the camera few degrees vertically is fine.

btw: I expect you did this with an MS Win Bryce installed,
didn't you? I just prefer if linux users are using linux programs or at least an emulator - did you tryied WINE? - Jan 23 2002

"Optimized for use with colour monitors." and "Supports use of sa mouse." are good jokes, unfortunatelly i don't like the color combination: blue white yellow green red. Specially the white on yellow is unreadable.
Try to change the colors and it will be much better (while still unoriginal in my eyes) - Jan 23 2002

it's really a piece of professional artwork! superb! specially the use of particles is great. did you make this completelly in 3ds max? i think you have had to modify it little bit in photoshop before "final product"... do you think (anybody) it is possible to do the same with blender and gimp on linux? - Nov 08 2001
