Can you release a version for 1024x768?

And maybe one with the Ubuntu logo. The background is fantastic in and of itself. - Sep 14 2007

That did it. I like the sidebar, but unfortunately in Firefox it causes the menus to get a little skewed.

Thank you again. - Jun 08 2007
Anyone who can build packages for Murrine or any other theme engines, I would like to offer hosting space for them.

Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSuse, etc are welcome.

I have some extra space on my hosting accounts that I would like to dedicate for this purpose.

If you are interested, contact me.

Keep up the good work, Cimi.

Also, not sure if you got my email about having an option to disable the menu sidebar. Thinking we can work that out? - Jun 08 2007

Could you possibly make a variation where are no left or right borders and bottom border?

Would be an interesting way to go - May 25 2007
Just popped in using Heliodor. Damn, I like this one. Perfect.

I am using Splint-Left as my default. - May 24 2007
I like it. Smooth clean.

Out of curiousity, can you make a beryl version? - May 24 2007

Symbology and art throughout history have been tools manipulate the people. I could name thousands of examples.

Some only know the symbol and art from his after effects. This is the perfect example. Some know the symbol and art without the construct of the after effects.

I am not offended by the Hammer n Sickle. It is true that was born out of a movement for the workers. It is true that is was used as a tool of Sovietism. The same political idealogy that gave birth to the Hammer n Sickle is not the same political idealogy that has led to many of the comments here.

Communism, Socialism, Soviet Communism are all separate methodologies of governement and philosophy. However, media tends to wrap them together and uses the USSR or China or North Korea as the examples.

The administrators of gnome-look/kde-look are the ones who must have final say. Until that point, I respect the work. Let us end the flaming. - Jul 01 2006

I really like the Metacity theme you are using here. It not only goes great with your gtk, but I believe it would look great with others. Could you release a version that the active colour matches the gtk?

I had also made a comment about the buttons you used in the theme in regards to Rezlooks metacity. Check out my comment there. - May 25 2006

I am currently using it now.

Just a few things, as I am not familiar with Metacity theme designs. Could you possibly:

1: Make one without the Application Window Menu icon?

2: I think the min, max, close buttons are nice for default however the ones you have used for Perfect Gnome metacity would be awesome here. The two designs together almost seem Amiga-ish. - May 25 2006

What Window Manager are you using and what theme? I have tried the Metacity Rezlooks that someone had posted and just did not have the same look and feel.

Although it really does not fit here as a Gnome Icon theme, I have to thank you.

I have been trying to hunt down a set just like that for use with my site and various projects I have been working on. - Dec 04 2005

I found it accidently with a package of OSX themes. Unfortunately I deleted it since then.

I quickly found a search result for it. You can download it here:

Aquabase for my Application Font and then Luxi Sans Bold for my Window Font.

I chose Aquabase because it was clean and easy on my eyes. It works well for easily skimming over my files even when my contacts are blurred. - Nov 20 2005

The icons are simple in design. Not flashy. Easy on the eyes. And it may just be me, but my workspace feels more open using them. Maybe because my senses are not cluttered with bold strange designs that are there for looks and not functionality.

I do however kind of miss the folder icons from the previous version. Maybe if they could add a little yellow label or something to the edge just as the grey folders had a purple like label. Just something subtle that keeps it from being all blue.

Thanks for packaging it up! Guess I am going to have to modify Vega to match. - Nov 22 2005

I am glad to see some great work coming around from the mockups I have been seeing lately.

Hello is a great start. I have been using it for a few days now and am rather impressed with it.

The only issue I do have is the brightness of the background. I tend to work late at night and when my contacts start shifting, it starts to glare a little. Maybe if we can find a way to make it a subtle tint of the GTK theme color? Not the same color so as it does not just mix in altogether but maybe where it is just a tint above or below it. - Nov 20 2005
