Ran into an issue with the external ip. it was not set to be an executable
for thoese with issues open terminal and run this

"chmod +x ~/.conky/scripts/ip.sh"

with out quotes, your external ip will now show!!!
Other wise, nice conky theme - Dec 17 2010

oh if you don't mind i can help make this easer for the newer Ubuntu users. simple deb or script install for them.

deb might be better

here is a start the comand to change in gconf-editor

gconftool-2 -s /apps/gnome-screensaver/lock_dialog_theme --type string "nsa"

run that in terminal and it sets it to your theme - May 24 2010
Simple to do and run.
can i know which theme you use. i am sick and tired of this default 10.04 theme! - May 24 2010

sorry for the dubble post >_> - Dec 11 2009
1 i cant reply an answer that one

2 if you looked at other comments, there is a script made by a diffrent user to install it on the current user

3 i aggree, it should be kde script only if it is a script. this way all linux users may dubble click install this theme

4 even better. leave options open. a script for newbs but teaches them how linux works by explaining things.wile letting the user have the choice to install it manually

5 IDK lol

6 read num 5

7 again. leave options open. manily because with torrents. the more populer the torrent the faster the download. but then again some places block P2P (ex work, school, etc)

8 again read number 2

if you like this theme and you already have it on ur 9.04 box DO NOT DISTRO UPGRADE until an uninstall script comes and a 9.10 install script is made. i was able to test it out. it installed on 9.04 and worked. then i did a upgrade through update manager. now it gives the same issues as all other 9.10 users - Dec 08 2009
But a good thing came out of it ^_^. after i gave up i let my non-linux user friend use my laptop. me completely forgetting that he knows half of my passwords that i use, he went and fucked my laptop causing me to pull out my 9.04 disk, so i will try installing vistar under 9.04 then distro upgrade after it is installed. i will report if this works

it should right? - Nov 09 2009

i never repackaged it. the fault is with in the program (gnomenu) it's self - Oct 21 2009
ok i figured it out. i got the latest from the repositories, added it to the panel, installed the theme. it installed. select XP2. let it reload. it seems to vanish. just log out and back in. it will pop up
on ubuntu 9.10 amd64.
this is becasue it is a junty package on karmic. so there are bound to be issues till gnomenu 2.0 comes out. - Oct 20 2009
as i said, bit version should have no effect. all gnomenu does is take the 3 files and looks for them by name. but i will boot out of xp right now and into my 64 bit ubuntu to test - Oct 20 2009
first open the settings by right clicking and selecting preferences

http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9139/screenshotgnomenusettin.png

then click install and locate the file
make sure it is the button section

http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/1645/screenshot1ta.png

then you should get this
sometimes you might asked for root access

http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/5595/19179465.png

then select the new buttion XP2

http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/9139/screenshotgnomenusettin.png

you are done
this was tested with the package here on the site - Oct 20 2009
it is packaged correctly. it works on my ubuntu 9.04, and more recently 9.10 32-bit (bit should have no effect of installation. but if you wish I can repackage it after a test install of this to confirm - Oct 20 2009
https://launchpad.net/gnomenu/+download
download the one related to you distro.
add it to your panel
right click it and select preferences.
in the button options select install
find the file and select open
now select xp2 in the drop down
exit the window and let gnomenu reload
done! - Sep 22 2009
i found it.
i started in the world of linux in 09. i found this (never know what gnome was till i got ubuntu) then i used 7 zip to untar that file. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/XP-Panel%2BButton+Glassy?content=84071 it has one image. i just edited and changed it to 2 other types. license has been changed
- Sep 19 2009
i had found this image on line some amount of time ago (when i was still Microsoft bound) i had it on my flash drive. to my knowledge idk if it is a screen shot done by someone or a costume image. i have done a search for it again. and i can not find it. so i put it under gpl till it is 100% confirmed in that statement or otherwise
this will be mentioned in the description!
thanks for bringing that up. - Sep 19 2009
