Yeah, I figured that out, but I changed the include statement into "movieclient.h" instead, so it's easier to build the whole package in a fakeroot environment.
What's the point of including a file, that is inside the source root, outside of it, if I may ask? - Jan 26 2014

I had to do a dirty job: first cd to /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules, where KDE installs its own cmake modules, then rename FindGettext.cmake to anything else and finally link those files (cmake itself complains about their absence):

ln -s /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindGettext.cmake
ln -s /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake
ln -s /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/CMakeParseArguments.cmake
ln -s /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindPackageMessage.cmake

Then, remove the symlinks and move back FindGettext.cmake.

I was hoping I found a better solution, but I'm not a cmake expert, so this is the best I could do. If you know about a way to override the automatic modules loading, please let me know. - Jan 09 2014
Thanks, it actually worked. I had to symlink three more files to the KDE cmake modules dir though. - Jan 08 2014
What if you simply run this?

vaxx@kahli ~/Hämtningar/keurocalc-1.2.1/build $ cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/lib/kde4 .. - Jan 08 2014
I get this error when running cmake:

Is it possible to add a configuration option to hide the "Do you remember?" tab?
I don't use it, and I find it a waste of space. Besides, when docked into the panel, it hides the main controls, so I have to scroll to access them. Quite annonying doing it every time...
Great plasmoid anyway, thanks! - Nov 21 2011

I can't reproduce your issue, sorry. I'm running KDE 4.7.1. - Sep 29 2011
BTW, it would be great if you could add the week day to the date string. It would help keeping a weekly "plan"! - Sep 24 2011
A somewhat cleaner and portable solution:
import locale
locale.setlocale(6, 'en_US') - Sep 24 2011
It works this way, thank you.
So, maybe the problem resides in Qt or KDE Python bindings. Just guessing... - Sep 23 2011
Python failing parsing the %b was my first thought indeed, but you're right. I tried your code as well, and works in python console both with version 2.7.2 and 3.2.2.
locale.getdefaultlocale() gives ('it_IT', 'UTF-8'). KDE version is 4.7.1. - Sep 23 2011
I get this error instead:
Quote:
File "/home/xxx/.kde4/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids/airdate-plasmoid/contents/code/main.py", line 272, in fetchedInfo
self.ntime = time.strptime(datestring,"%b %d %Y")

ValueError: time data 'Sep 29 2011' does not match format '%b %d %Y'

My system's locale is it_IT, can this affect the parsing of the date?

It could be a really useful and nice plasmoid, if I only could run it :)
My plasma desktop crashes whenever I try to load it, and plasmoidviewer segfaults as well.
I built it with the cmake flags you suggest. KDE version is 4.7.1 on Arch Linux.

Besides, I agree with bitcrazy for the need of a more consistent way to add translations and edit config options. It could ease yours and other people's, willing to contribute, work. - Sep 12 2011

ADDENDUM - to detect kmdr scripts' dir, try with 'locate kmdr' - Nov 14 2004
Just chose a directory to put kmdr file in (or where kmdr files are by default) and substitute this path in A_PATH. The same for L_PATH: just chose kmdr-executor path, or simply leave it blank, if this app is in your path. - Nov 14 2004
What about adding a simple shell script that launches .kmdr file,
instead of adding an alias in /etc/profile? It's much safer!
It should look like that:

#!/bin/sh

A_PATH=/opt/kde/share/apps/quanta/scripts
APP=katiuska.kmdr
L_PATH=/opt/kde/bin
LAUNCHER=kmdr-executor

if [ ! -x $L_PATH/$LAUNCHER ] ; then
echo "Kommander Executor not found"
exit
else
$L_PATH/$LAUNCHER $A_PATH/$APP

Ok, the last patch works!
The best solution, since recompiling qt with stl means recompiling most (if not all) kde packages.
Thanks a lot, that's a nice app! - Sep 25 2004
The latest official SlackBuild includes a "-no-stl" option... so here's the clue.
The patch didn't work, I still get similar errors :( but I'm just recompiling qt with stl support, this surely will work! - Sep 25 2004
Actually, I'm building on Slack 10, with Qt 3.3.3 compiled by myself. I should recompile it, or wait for the patch.
