Well thank you very much!!

The moomex theme is one of the best done here
at gnome-look, moomex really knows how to write code!

Thanks again.... I really don't know what else to say :D

btw, the firefox issue is fixed :)
I used a fix made by a user here at gnome-look.

//Robert - Feb 25 2008
Thank you very much for your amazingly kind comment!! :D

Yeah, I have heard that that problem is evident in
firefox... well, I am gonna provide a fix for it ones
I figure one out :)

Thanks for reporting, maybe later today I have the
fix, if so, I will announce updated :)

Thanks again!

//Robert - Feb 25 2008
hehe, could be they are compressed 2 times
so first extract the folder inside the archive
then if it's another archive, extract it to
/usr/share/icons (do this as root)

as for the transparency I use compiz-fusion
window manager.

www.compiz-fusion.org

hope this helps!

//Robert - Feb 24 2008
:D

Well thank you again man!!!

I don't really know what to say :D

I'm very happy that you like my work!!!

well.. the icon theme I use is this one:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

it changes the jinjan icon aswell :D

as for the gnome-button it is the main menu and not
the show desktop icon (I have re-arranged the panels quite a bit)

I included it in the package, it's located in the
/gtk-2.0/panel folder named menu something
(I don't remember exactly how I named it)

the playback control in upper panel is for audacious
(based on xmms) and those are just normal png
icons I have associated with commands (launchers)
for example the play button when clicked executes
the command audacious --play and so on....

If you have more questions you know how to
contact me :)

//Robert - Feb 24 2008
Thank you for that info!
been wondering why that happens!! :D

...yes it is the same on gnome :)

Also thank you for your kind words about my theme :D

//Robert - Feb 23 2008
Hi!

Yeah I noticed :D

Thanks a lot to you taner, I can never thank
you enough for your what you have done!

//Robert - Feb 23 2008
okey, I'm sorry, I don't use firefox myself
so I'm not experiencing the problem

I will provide another fix for it when
I have one figured out :)

//Robert - Feb 22 2008
Thank you!

darkfix should fix the firefox problem...
I can check it out.

You are the first to have the volume applet
problem (as far as I know) , it has always
worked fine for me (I don't see how that
could be related to the theme), could you
try to re-add the applet to the panel and
see if problem is still there?

btw, what distro are you using?

Thank you for the feeback!

//Robert - Feb 22 2008
Thank you very much!!!

the icon theme is this one :

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

for transparency I use compiz-fusion window
manager, just enable it and move the mousepointer
over the panel and hold down alt and then scroll.

If you don't have compiz fusion then get it here:

http://www.compiz-fusion.org/

//Robert - Feb 20 2008
Thank you for your compliments!!

To fix firefox problems go here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Darkfix+%28+easy+fix+for+browsers+%29?content=74504

it is a very easy to use script made to fix
browser issues.

As for the window decoration I have no
clue on how to port it to xfce...
...however if you use compiz you can install
emerald and dload the slickness emerald
theme, get it here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/SlicknesS+Emerald?content=73972
Thanks for using my theme!

Hope this helps!

//Robert

Well thank you!

Vista one? this theme is nowhere near what
vista is... maybe the panel a little but
every dark panel looks like the vista one.

Now that you mention it I see that the buttons
are best positioned when panel is at bottom
(well, I have always has the tasklist at
the bottom since it is the most natural there,I know many people use dock, but I
don't really like docks, I have tried many
different docks but I still prefer gnome
panel)

If you by the window layout mean that weird pattern I used for the newest
version then yeah, it's weird and it wasn't
actually ment to be there :D (just something
I tried out and forgot to remove)

The titlebar text is white on active windows
and greyish on inactive windows (so that you can easily see
which ones are active and which ones
are inactive (no font is black on titlebar that I know of)

About submenues, if you mean the ones
that are named "GtkCombo" in the widget factory
then yes, they are ugly and all black
but I haven't yet used an app that actually
used those, where are those used? I read
somewhere that they are old and not used
anymore, is this incorrect?

Anyway, I want to give you a huge thanks
for taking the time and writing an absolutely
amazing comment on my work!
I also want to thank for your kind words
on the stuff you liked in the theme :)

All the best!

//Robert - Feb 19 2008
Me neither... I don't think it's possible
to change the default file manager.. If
it is, and you find out a way, Please let
me know!

//Robert - Feb 18 2008
the file manager is pcmanfm...
get it here:

http://pcmanfm.sourceforge.net/

it rocks!!!
the best file manager i have tried!

loads any folder in less than a second!

//Robert - Feb 18 2008
Of the emerald or metacity theme?

Thanks for your interest in my work!

//Robert - Feb 17 2008
Thank you!

I have been trying and meaning to implement
that function in this theme too... it's just
that I use a few workarounds to rid some
really nasty bugs,so as it is now I see
no solution in fixing those bugs another
way so I could implement that function.

It was easier in slickness black cause
there I don't need similar bugfixes because
the hole thing is black :D

If I find a way to rid the bugs another
way I will implement the colorscheme
support, however , it looks like that's
never gonna happen right now :(

Thanks for the feedback!

//Robert - Feb 17 2008
Thank you!

to get bigger menu icons:

gedit $HOME/.themes/SlicknesS/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

or if you followed my install instructions:

sudo gedit /usr/share/themes/SlicknesS/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

and on line 12 gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=16,16" change to
gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=22,22"

or whatever size you wish :)
then save, log out and in and you are done :)

btw ,this will make the icons enter the
"dark" area of the menu.

hope this helps

//Robert - Feb 15 2008
font is zekton, and yes , it looks great:D
get it here:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Zekton?content=50553

And a huge thank you for using my theme :D

//Robert - Feb 14 2008
Thank you very much :D

glad you like it :)

//Robert - Feb 12 2008
Thank you!

hmm, it all depends on if you have the
previous version install file...
I just checked my hard drive and I don't
have the previous scrolls saved anywhere :(

If you have the previous install file, then
just extract the scrollbar folder from it
(/gtk-2.0/scrollbars) and overwrite the
one in the themes folder
$HOME/.themes/SlicknesS/gtk-2.0/scrollbars

that should do the trick :)

hope this helps

//Robert - Feb 12 2008
hmmm, if you have the older tar still
then you could just overwrite the scrollbars folder with the one from the file,
it should work.

$HOME/.themes/SlicknesS/gtk-2.0/scrollbars

that is the folder to overwrite

hope this helps :)

thanks for the feedback!

//Robert - Feb 11 2008
That is really nice to hear!!!

I just didn't seem to get happy with the
scrollbars, so today I tought I'd sit down
and try do something that hasn't been done
(that I know of) already... for once I'm
kinda happy them :D

It's really nice to hear someone else likes
them too :D

did the new install instructions work good
for you btw?

It was the only way I could think of
to get the wallpaper to apply....

Glad to hear you havn't gotten tired
of my theme btw ;D

Thank you very much all of you for your kind comments!! :)

Very appreciated!

The iconset is this one:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619

as for the transparency effect you see in the
screenshot, it is the "major" change to this version,
also , in the screenshot I have the alpha blur effect
activated.

Thanks for suggesting different gradient, tho
I must say that that is the one thing I have been
able to be kinda happy with for more than a day
or so :)

It is not meant to be 3-dimensional, for this hole
slickness project I have is to make a black and
white clear but still kinda "slick" environment
to work in :)

My next theme might be more 3 dimensional tho,
At the moment my d**n laptop (which I absolutely
love to work on) is f***ed (It wont recognize the
d**n power cable) , honestly , next time I will
buy me a macbook (when I have the money :D)!!!

Thanks again guys!

I will fix this when I have the time :)

Thanks for reporting!

Thank you!!

hmm, the only thing I can think of is that you don't
have pixmap aka pixbuf engine installed....

haven't heard anyone else have that problem :)

hope this helps!

//Robert - Feb 24 2008
Thank you!

I have to check my tutorial for errors I see.

I don't know but it worked for me...
maybe there is another way,thanks for
reporting that :)

//Robert - Feb 23 2008

Thank you for your amazingly inspiring comment :D

It makes very glad to hear that you like it :D

//Robert - Feb 23 2008
Glad to hear taner!

I was just commenting on your new wallpaper!

It's great!

And I'm really happy to hear you're working
on this now :D

btw, I showed the walls you made for my slickness
themes to some friends and they wanted
them on their desktop pronto!

//Robert - Feb 19 2008
Thanks again for your kind words!

and all the best to you also mate!

//Robert - Feb 15 2008
Well, what can I say!?!?! Thank you
for that absolutely kind and inspiring and
generally nice comment :D

Highly appreciated!

I checked your screenshot, (It makes me
happy when people send me screenshots
so I know how they use my theme and what
they use with it and so on..) and I see you
use my favorite conkyconfig made by Hund!

You have managed to get a nice consistent
look on your desktop and looks cool with
a glassy looking dock at the bottom!

Thanks again for liking my theme and
for your very inspiring feedback :D

//Robert - Feb 11 2008
Thanks :D

Well, the scrollbars are easily fixed that
way, but the panels are fake, I just made
some images with rounded corners and loaded them
in the panel properties so I'm sry to disappoint you.

Thanks a lot!!

Yeah in the next release I will have better
scrollbars in this theme, or at least try
to do better ones :)

Maybe something in style with the ones
I have in the slickness theme....

Thanks for pointing it out(makes me do new
scrollbars faster :D)

//Robert - Feb 23 2008
Hi!

yes that helps!

The problem is that you are running
XFCE and not gnome, xfce uses another
window manager than gnome (not metacity)
I'm not sure exactly which one but the
theme here is for metacity (and then there
is the emerald one for those who use compiz)

I'm sorry to say but I have no clue on
how to port the border theme to xfce (
I would do that if I knew how to)
if someone knows how to do it and it's not
too much work then that would be great!

//Robert - Feb 21 2008
Are you syre you are using metacity
window manager?

I haven't heard anyone else have any
problems with the border theme...

if you use compiz you could install emerald
and dload this one:

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/SlicknesS+Emerald?content=73972

could you describe a little more what the
problem is since I cannot fix the problem
if I don't really know what it is :) ?

//Robert - Feb 21 2008
yeah, that's a pain when fonts are unreadable,
I don't even have the openoffice.org-gtk
package installed myself (gnome-integration, uses the theme)
that gets rid of every problem,, however
I will try to fix it, but I can't promise
a fix any time soon since I don't have a
clue on where to start looking....

Thanks for reporting tho!
didn't know of that problem :)

And thank you for your kind words man!!!

//Robert - Feb 20 2008
hmm, you mean the titlebar? in the window
borders? if not, maybe send me a screenshot
so I can figure out how to fix it :)

//Robert - Feb 20 2008
Hmmm, did you get any errormessage or
anything when running the command?

you could try to extract the package to
/usr/share/themes manually too.

hope this helps

//Robert - Feb 18 2008
I have a fix for it now....
not sure if this f***s up something else
since I just figured it out.

but if you have a style called "menu" or something....

style "menu" = "default"
#and then add this line there
text[NORMAL] = "#000000"
#remove any other text[NORMAL] first

#and then you should have something
#like this at the end of the gtkrc
class "GtkMenu" style "menu"
widget_class"*Menu*" style "menu"

Hope this helps.

//Robert - Feb 11 2008
