are you trying to install?

Also try SUSE 8 trust me it is much much easier to install, configure and use than redhat. It also has better manuals, support, comes in dvd format, ahs more apps, and it makes KDE look better by default.

There are also lots of places to download RPMS for themes for it.

Like the liquid RPM.
here's liquid: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=48

Liquid is the best theme in teh world everything on it is customizable. - May 19 2002

Linux a lot, so do I. But, you cannot lie to youurself like this. Windowblinds is a well designed programs with thousands of great themes. In Linux we also have some fantastic themes like High Performance Liquid. I thought this one was advantage that Windows did not have, this immense ability to customize the appearence and great themes. Unfortunantenly I was proven wrong. There are some good themes for XP too:

http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=1516

http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=3&SkinID=1789

http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=22&SkinID=79

These skins probably do take up quite some memory , I'm not sure if they will make windows crash more often. Anyway I've found XP t be as stable as KDE so it's not really a problem.

I think that most XP WindowBinds themes don't look cartoonish at all, quite the opposite. The screenshot you posted I think its quite ugly, way too blue and it just doesen't appeal to me.

I like thsi screenshot: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=1222 much better.

The WinCustomize website is only missing a rating system in everything else it is as good if not beter than KDE-Look.org.

If you hae never heard of Photoshop 7 than I don't know in what world you live in.

XP may have minor hardware incompatibilities but Linux has 10x more.

There is nothing wrong with linux, I love Linu, but saying that all XP themes are ugly and that WindowBinds is crap is very generalized and seems to come from somebody very close-minded. I wish that something similar to windowbinds that would let us use the XP themes created and install themes easier would come out for Linux. I also hope that Mosfet does not stop improving Liquid, at least he should get to a 1.0 release. - May 18 2002
FUCKING SHIT!!!

Almost all these themes here:
http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?wp=1&sort=updatedate&searchtext=&order=&library=1
look at least as good as the ones we have here and most look a lot better. They have everything we do here and more. A lot more themes to chose from. They also have icons
http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?wp=1&sort=updatedate&searchtext=&order=&library=1
and all kinds of things. NOOO PLEASE PORT HTESE! LINUX NOW LOST ONE OF THE COOLEST THINGS ABOUT IT! NOW XP LOOKS BETTER NOOO! That website i also as good as this one and window binds is good too. DAMN IT! Now I lsot my bragging rights that Linux looks better than XP. How can I convince my friends now. XP has some better programs like PS 7 it's also pretty stable and hardware always works with it because MS is a fucking monopoly. PLEASE TELL ME SOMETHING GREAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO LINUX! LIKE WINDOWBINDS BEING PORTED SO I CAN USE THE THEMES j/k!!! ARGGG!

the hell have you been smoking the last 2 years?

You can easily convert StarOffice fules to MS OFFICE file formats and vice-versa. This is not a problem. ALso most companies don't even use their software to it's full potential and I'm sure if you really gave STarOffice a chance you would realize it is very very powerful. There are even some 1,000+ page books about StarOffice 5.2. ST6 will probably have even alrger books documenting all of it's features. - Apr 21 2002
StarOffice 6.0 is fantastic. My dad has a pre-releae version and it's great. It installs very easily on Linux (just like a windows program) and I can do everything I did in word with it. I was able to read all Microsoft Office files without error too. One of my favorite features in StarOffice 6.0 is being able to save files in MS format. All office suites are dramatically improving and soon there will be a point when it is all a matter of choice, because they will be equally strong.

As for browsers I think Mozilla 1.0 is still better than KOnqueror. However Konqueror is completely themeble and looks better. PLus you can easily go to filemanager mode. Opera 6 is also looking pretty good. - Apr 21 2002

Honestly, this was a good idea but Mosfet added this feature as optional and therefore this content will only confuse people once they download it and try to instlall it. It will add nothing to a users enjoyment of KDE or liquid it is now worthless. Please remove it so we will not have copies of the same content. It was great idea though!

HE seems to be very talented from what glimpeses of his work I was able to find. If he submitted his art to KDE-LOOK.org his work would be much more popular and easier to find. Also did he make the Keramkik theme, it seems to go in very well with Crystal. Thanks! I hope my questions are answered and everaldo submits his work here. - Apr 14 2002

Redhat installs much harder. It isn't like SUSE where it is as easy as XP to install and partition. ALso I know redhat is as configureable as SuSE but they haven't configured things by default. SuSE has made everything looks great by default. Ofcourse you can still change it but it is also easier to change things like resolution and SUSE"s KDE does have a few things that Redhat's doesen't. - Apr 07 2002
anyway what eh did is very easy to do it's just the default background witha Redhat logo pasted on it and a brightness adjustment for hte Redhat logo layer. - Apr 07 2002
I'm american so what ever is first ehre is first in my mind j/k. OH well 10 years is a lot. But, userfriendliness isn't something of opinion when there is such a GIGANTIC gap. If it was WIndows XP or OS X userfriendliness than yeah it's more a matter of opinion but Redhat and SUse 8 that is too big a difference. I have Redhat 7.2 and the log-in thing doesen't even have the heads so you can select faster. The one on my SUse has a clock, my own pic, a cool background and my KDE looks a lot better by default too.

Sorry if I made anyone mad anyway. - Apr 07 2002
It seems you didn't get it the first few times I told you. Redhat is only good for servers not desktops. Out of SUSE, Mandrake and Slackware Redhat is the least userfriendly and the hardest to isntall. Infact the only good thing I can say about it is that it has a sort of cool name, it's american and that it was first. But, just because it was first doesen't mean it's the best. So many things that come by default in SUSE, Mandrake and Windows are toatally left out in redhat. Try SuSE 8 Pro on April 22nd and if you can honestly say that you still like your Red Hat better on your computer than I will never say anything against redhat again. - Apr 07 2002

RedHat's installer is far from as good as SuSE, and tehre are just about a million things that suse has which redhat doesen't. - Apr 07 2002
