Just notified this bug report to Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/774777 - May 01 2011
Thanks for the great applet! We've been using it in Zorin OS for over a year now and it's great!
There is a serious enough bug in the new Ubuntu 11.04 version (in GNOME classic mode) with the window previews in DockbarX. When I enable the KDE Compatibility Compiz plugin and enable the window previews in DockbarX the preview appears behind the popup which is a problem. Here is a screenshot of the issue: http://goo.gl/ha234
I hope it helps.

Once again, thank you for this applet! - Apr 30 2011
Hello! A Zorin OS user has found a bug in DockBarX concerning the icons used. The user opens Lotus Notes and finds another icon in the Taskbar. The wrong icon is for Lotus Notes Zap although when he mouses over the icon it displays the real icon in the menu (the orange one). Here is an image of the bug:

Thank you for the program, it's brilliant. Keep up the good work!

I sometimes get an OAFIID DockBarX error when I log into my system when DockBarX is enabled. Can you make a fix in a newer version? I'm using DockBarX 0.24 - Jan 19 2010

The /lib/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth file isn't supposed to link to the etc/alternative/text.plymouth file. To fix this open the Terminal and type in sudo nautilus and navigate to etc/alternative/ and make a link to the default.plymouth file. Cut the link to /lib/plymouth/themes/ and rename it back to default.plymouth after deleting the already existing default.plymouth file. Now try and see if the Splash Screen Manager works. - Nov 07 2010
Can you please open /lib/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth and copy the text in the file to here so that I can take a look at what's wrong. - Nov 06 2010
We have now released the 64 bit version of the Splash Screen Manager.

Thanks for the really nice Plymouth theme! There is only one problem with it. Whenever there is a disk check it always shows "keys:" before the message. I haven't tried seeing it with other messages (eg. "Remove the disc and press Enter" on the Live CD) but I believe there would be a similar problem with it. It's kind of unnecessary and makes the theme look not so good whenever a message is displayed during boot up. The default Ubuntu Plymouth theme takes care of this nicely. Maybe you can take a look at the Ubuntu Plymouth code to help you.
Thanks again for the theme!

Best regards,

Hello, I'm AZorin from The Zorin OS Team. I am interested in using your Simple icon theme for the default icon theme in our operating system Zorin OS 2.0. May I have permission for using it in Zorin OS? We will give full credit to you on the Credits page on our site when Zorin OS 2.0 is released.

Best regards

If you give me permission to use the theme I will put you onto the Zorin OS credits when Zorin OS gets released fully.

Thank you

Try GnoMenu 1.9. And how did you get GnoMenu to work on XfApplet. On version 1.7 it didn't show the icons in the middle of the menu and whenever I clicked on the right side of GnoMenu (Kore theme) it didn't open anything and then GnoMenu didnt open up at all. On version 1.9 it doesn't open at all. I have Xubuntu 9.04

Thanks

Have you tried gnomenu 1.7. You can find the download on the gnomenu launchpad (google up gnomenu). I heard it is more stable.

PS. Thnx for the XfApplet info, didn't know about that. - May 08 2009
Hi I love this menu and I want to include it into my operating system Zorin OS. I made the .iso file and booted it into Virtual box but an error came up and then I have to go into usr/lib/gnomenu and make all the files executable, is there anyway to fix this? - Jan 01 2009

When you roll over the options of the right pane the icon changing effect is not as smooth as it was in 1.6. Maybe that can be fixed? - May 09 2009
Dear whise, i loved the menu and I am making an operating syste called Zorin OS. Is it OK if I use the GnoMenu for the os (I will give you credit and if its also OK can I rename it to "Start Menu")
