I like the icons appearing there . Can I know which program to use to get the same agenda (top left), performance meters (bottom left), and the one on the bottom right ?

The icon theme is named Glossy-Glass and you can download it from this site.If you have a Debian sys you can get the program for the performance meters by doing an apt-get install gdesklets. After you get it installed go to http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/
and find the desklets you want and do a drag and drop into the program window.
