I LOVE this plasmoid and used it on Kubuntu 14.04 LTS. Now I switched to Kubuntu 15.04 with Plasma 5 and I am really missing this amazing plasmoid. Any chance this will be ported to Plasma 5? If someone could give me a hint how to do it by myself I would give it a try.
It won't be ported, because it would need to be rewritten to QML and also there is no Qt5 version of Akonadi available.
Thank you. This is really sad. It would be nice if someone could create a calendar plasmoid with caldav support.
I extracted everything into the appropriate folder, but got this when I tried the cmake command: afro_radiance@afrobox ~/build $ cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -- The C compiler identification is GNU 4.7.2 -- The CXX compiler identification is unknown -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- works -- Detecting C compiler ABI info -- Detecting C compiler ABI info - done CMake Error: your CXX compiler: "CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER-NOTFOUND" was not found. I have no idea what to do with this. Your plasmoid looks fantastic and I'd love to try it out. ideas?
I really like this calendar applet, however, I think that I have discovered a bug. That is, all day events are duplicated. On my calendar, each and every event that is "all day" or "takes the whole day" are displayed twice in duplicate in the Akonadi plasmoid applet, however, these events are listed only once in the KOrganizer Calendar and with Thunderbird/Lightning.
I'm not able to reproduce it with my events. I have a lot of events where many of them take only a day and I see them only once. Are you sure you don't have your calendar selected twice in the configuration of this applet?
I fixed the problem by deleting the entries that were duplicated by the applet and then reentering those entries. Now everything appears ok. This problem started around the time that I updated to KDE 4.10.x with OpenSUSE 12.3 so I guess that this was some type of problem related to the migration of my data. FYI.

hello, if you set the plasmoid to show time+date and if the panel is small enough, the date does not scale properly and moves to the side of the time. Explanatory screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/LbsRg.jpg on the left you see the standard digital clock plasmoid while your plasmoid is on the right.
It's not a bug. I moved the date on the side when the date label has a small font. Maybe I could use smaller limit for this or it could be up to user to set what he wants.
I believe everybody would be happy with a customizable limit.
Hi, I really like your plasmoid and now especially with the clock displayed, it becomes a very good alternative for the standard clock plasmoid. But somehow I am missing a way to display the Holidays. I added them in korganizer, but still they are somehow not displayed in your plasmoid. But maybe I am doing something wrong ? Thanks.
Hm it's not possible to use Akonadi for holidays so that's why it doesn't work in my plasmoid. I can take a look on it in future, but now I don't have much time. Thanks for patience.
On my system (KDE 4.9.2), the plasmoid doesn't remember its size. After changing configuration or restarting plasma/computer it always defaults back to a smaller size...
I know what is wrong and I will fix it. Thanks
It should be fixed, try newer version please. Thanks
Hej there, great working plasmoid you got there :) However, in my personal opinion the Agenda view is using way too much space. I mean, it looks nice to have each event in a separate box with some space around them, but that just needs a whole lot of space. Also having the time in a second row uses way too much space in my opinion. I'd like to get the chance to customize the entry text completely. Additionally: Switching from Agenda to Calendar view needs a lot more of space (which is quite clear since there is the calendar and kind of an agenda view). However, when switching back to the Agenda view it stays at this size which results in a weird layout. I'm using the calendar next to the events so when switching back to Agenda view the plasmoid's with is just HUGE! This way the two row layout of the Agenda view looks even more strange. This just reflects my personal opinion. Cheers Felix
Hello again :) When I try to add a new event, say that cant find: kincidenceeditor I'm using Debian Wheezy (Testing), already install: kdelibs5-dev kdepim-dev xsltproc libboost-dev kdepimlibs5-dev qt4-dev-tools korganizer Some idea please? :) PS: ... again, sorry for my english.
I think that kincidenceeditor is a part of new kdepim. What version of kdepim do you have?
aptitude show kdepim | grep Version The output: 4:4.4.11.1+l10n-3 Thanks for all your help ^-^
I'm afraid that it wont work. You could try to update your kdepim to newer version.
too bad :( ... i reeeeeeeellly like this plasmoid T_T ... Thanks for all :)
Hi, please check this: http://paste.desdelinux.net/4636 And by the way, "build/CMakeFiles/CMakeError.log" dont exist :D Thanks for all :)
