Description: Tea Cooker is a plasmoid to assist all lovers of tea in the task of steeping tea for just the perfect length of time.
Right click on the plasmoid to get a list of teas to steep, stop steeping and such. When tea is done a sound is played through phonon that keeps playing periodically until the widget is activated (apparently phonon does this automatically and I rather like the feature).
I'm seeing a lot of downloads, but no votes. Please vote if you like it and withhold from voting if you don't (tell me what you don't like and I'll improve Tea Cooker )
TODO: -fix notifications through knotify -add/configure teas -more than one steeping at a time -different icons for different types of teaLast changelog:
21.07.2k8 :: v0.1 - Initial Release (very very rudimentary) 21.07.2k8 :: v0.1.1 - just some changes to the readme - a screenshot and a .deb package
27.07.2k8 :: v0.2.0 - start/reset steeping - some different teas - KNotify (kind of broken atm)
27.07.2k8 :: v0.2.1 - knotify config fixed so it appears properly in system settings - bug where reseting tea cooker didn't also "stop" it fixed - icon size bug fixed
29.07.2k8 :: v0.2.2 - when tea is done steeping you can now reset it to an empty cup
30.07.2k8 :: v0.3.0 - using phonon to play a sound when steeping is done - countdown timer displayed
hi =)
cool little plasmoid there.
since we used to ship a tea cooker with kde, it wouldn't be out of the question to put this directly into kdeplasma-addons if you'd like for kde 4.3.
two small things would need to be done first, though:
* there are hardcoded colours; that's no good =) we would need to replace those with colours from the plasma theme.
* the animation should use Animator::customAnimation so that timers can be aligned and the user can turn them off (e.g. when operating over a network).
these are both trivial things, however.
(oh, and bonus points if you'd be cool with formatting the code to follow the kdelibs coding style, though that's not a strict requirement for kdeplasma-addons)
if you're interested, email us at plasma-devel at kde dot org..
cheers!
This is nice.
A few feature requests:
1) configurable tea is going to be great
2) a left mouse button behaviour similar to kteatime:
[if no timer running, then show basic tea selections (no config), else reset or pause time or whatever]
You do not attack to me without foundations. It sees my other packages

Review my packages.
I wouldn't trust binary packages created by a random guy, especially if he calls himself "warezman" and has nearly no information in his profile. So I recomment removing the link again.

A FreeBSD port has been created for this plasmoid: deskutils/plasma-applet-teacooker

That's ... a good point. Sorry, I'm still a bit new at this whole compiled-app-distribution because I'm used to php.
