Deliberately, because Tweak has a bug when moving the buttons to the left. This rzmoval of the title is juist a hack until the developers come up with a solution - Jun 09 2020

This issue is an unfortunate side-effect of the way fontrendering in this theme is amplified with adding shadow around the letters. In Transmission and Virtual-manager this leads (for some reason) double shadow on the letters, making them hard to read when hovering over them. I've not yet found a solution yet. - May 30 2020

There is a hack: add this in the gtk.css file :

.tweak-titlebar-left{font-size: 0;min-width: 200px;}

This essentially makes the left-pane fixed at 200px wide and removes the 'tweak'-word in the top-left-titlebar. In this situation -having the titlebuttons on the left - the issue is no longer present. - May 29 2020

Thanks, I cannot not reproduce the error. I use Manjaro-gnome. The error is only present with Tweak-tool, when having the titlebuttons on the left-side. Resizing the Tweak-window to make it larger solves the 'issue'. Other themes have some sort of the same issue with tweak-tool with title buttons on the left. But I will try to find a fix. - May 29 2020

True, as much as I would like, it conflicts with the use of REM for determining the size of the buttons. When setting the font f.ex. to 9pt. The buttons are so small that the dots make the textbuttons unreadable. - May 20 2020

GTK3/4 Themes by paulxfce 454 comments

Ubuntu increasingly use snaps if you download something from the Ubuntu-software-center.
This unfortunately means that they do not follow the theme.
So some app's that are snaps use the default adwaita theme.
For example the Ubuntu-software-center is a snap-package and thus uses Adwaita, instead of Gnome-Prof-theme.
The only (easy) solution is to avoid snap-packages and find their versions in the repositories.

For ubuntu-users complaining about Ubuntu-software-center not applying the theme: this is because the Software-center is a flatpak, not a deb. For flatpaks use this command:
sudo flatpak override --filesystem=~/.themes
Next, make sure the theme-file is situated under the '.themes'-folder.
Then, open gnome tweak tool (you might need to install it first), and choose the Gnome-Prof-theme to your liking. Now flatpaks will follow the theme. - May 15 2020

Thank you for replying. There are some issues (like f.e the Ubuntu-font (it is already a thick font, thus renders too much thickness that it becomes unreadable), and some applications (like transmission (when hovering over a selected download) have issues.
The effect is a using a text-shadow in all things that uses text in the UI. Just open the CSS-file and you will see numerous occasions where text-shadow is applied. So It is not something easy to change.

The purpose of offering this preliminary theme is to see how people react to the thicker font. If the general feeling is positive, I will continue.. - May 01 2020
